Publisher's summary

Join the fun in this soapy serial as Will & Patrick's fake marriage turns into true love! Written by best-selling author Leta Blake and newcomer Alice Griffiths!

Episode One: "Will and Patrick Wake Up Married"

After a drunken night of hot sex in Vegas, strangers Will Patterson and Dr. Patrick McCloud wake up married. A quickie divorce is the most obvious way out — unless you’re the heir of a staunchly Catholic mafia boss with a draconian position on the sanctity of marriage. Throw their simmering attraction into the mix and all bets are off!

Episode Two: "Will and Patrick Meet the Family"

Meeting the family is challenging for every new couple. But for Will and Patrick, the awkward family moments only grow more hilarious - and painful - when they must hide the truth of their predicament from the people they care about most. Throw in the sexual tension flaring between them and you've got a recipe for madcap laughs and surprisingly heartwarming feels.

Episode Three: "Will and Patrick Do the Holidays"

A couple’s first holiday season is always a special time. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve are magical when you’re in love. Too bad Will and Patrick’s marriage is a sham and they’re only faking their affection for each other. Or are they? Sparks fly in this episode of the Wake Up Married serial. Will the sexual tension between Will and Patrick finally explode in a needy night of passion? Or will they continue to deny their feelings?

Episode Four: "Will and Patrick Fight Their Feelings"

Will and Patrick have embraced adding hot sexy-times to their fake marriage, but as their emotions deepen, they confront whether or not they want to be more than friends-with-benefits. The heat is high (and occasionally kinky) as Will and Patrick struggle to accept their mutual affection.

Episode Five: "Will and Patrick Meet the Mob"

Patrick has finally accepted that he's in love with Will, but his newfound determination to do something about that runs up against his father-in-law's mobster plans. Will must face the truth about his family before he can fully come to terms with his feelings for Patrick. And Patrick has to decide if this whackadoodle world is something he truly wants to be part of forever.

Episode Six: "Will and Patrick's Happy Ending"

Sure, Will and Patrick are in love now, but they weren’t when they got married in Vegas. For Patrick, that’s no problem, but Will can’t shake his doubts that a relationship started through coercion can ever become the real deal. Since the Molinaro crime family has reversed their position on divorce, Will and Patrick have a chance to rectify their drunken mistake. But is divorce the right choice for them?

Just settle in

And be prepared for a binge listen that is totally worth it. I loved reading this series and I've said it before a truly great audiobook just enhances the experience, which is what you get here. Solo performs this exactly how I envisioned it in my head and having the entire series all together is more than one could have hoped! Blake is a master of the slow burn and there is more than one kind of slow burn. You will dislike Patrick, then you'll love him. You'll want to shake Will multiple times and tell a few to just butt out but in the end it all works out perfectly!

Over and Above

This story is so BEYOND my expectations and so in the field of magnificent that it is a true shame I cannot share it with people I care about. There are many people I know who could benefit from this novel and not one of them would listen to it. That is just sad & tragic!
This novel is amazing, therapeutic, and thought provoking all at the same time. I owe the author & Narator a huge thank you.

Fabulous and hilarious!

This boxset was such a wonderful surprise. Will & Patrick wake up married by Leta Blake and Alice Griffiths is absolutely hilarious, seriously some of the best banter ever, very sweet and heartwarming. John Solo had outdone himself this time, he made me laugh out loud and tear up and miss his voice when it was all over. Its impossible not to fall in love with this couple. 31hrs for 1 credit. I definitely got my money’s worth of laughter !

exemplary

Ryan was such a vile worm. The way ge inserted himself when not needed and his passive aggression with Patrick was disgusting..He nonstop shamed and belittled Patrick, because he(Ryan) was the one lacking- greatly. It burned me up that he had so many people fooled. I was so frustrated with these two. If they could be open and brave they'd have saved so much time and heartache. I was glad even though their brains were cray cray they kept the hot intimate times going strong until their minds caught up with their hearts. Missy made me furious. She was a willing victim of money and keeping Patrick from savings patient's lives. Unconscionable. The last third of this book speared my heart. Great resolution. The narrator made each character unique and breathed life into to story. I highly recommend this set.

Fake Marriage Real Love

I’m so happy that Leta Blake and Alice Griffiths complied all six serials into one bundle. This is the best way to enjoy the tumultuous and zany relationship that Will and Patrick find themselves in after one drunken night in Vegas. The plot of the book is pretty basic: Will and Patrick get drunkenly married in Las Vegas after only knowing each other for a few hours. They have to stay married because Will’s father is in the mob and the mob has a strict no-divorce rule otherwise Will could be disinherited and Patrick may be murdered. The premise is a bit outrageous, but it’s needed to propel the plot forward and keep Will and Patrick together. And really, once the story really gets started, the mob aspect of the plot fits in pretty well.

I enjoyed this book; the audiobook was my running partner for three days in a row, which is proof to how engrossed I was with the story and characters. However, there were some issues: first, since this book was originally a serial, sometimes the plot line doesn’t feel as tight and sharp as it could be. Certain scenes or themes seem to be dragged out and feel a little repetitive. Second: I wanted to smack Will and his family on multiple occasions. Will’s family is the picture of dysfunction and it’s no wonder Will has had such low self-esteem issues all his life. BUT, don’t let these issues keep you from the book, because, believe me, the last half of the book becomes incredibly satisfying.

I liked the first part of the book. The first two episodes (Will & Patrick Wake Up Married and Will & Patrick Meet the Family) do a really good job of setting the scene, introducing us to the characters, and establishing how cute Will and Patrick are together. The third episode (Will & Patrick Do the Holidays) is the point of when I truly fell in love with Will and Patrick and was squealing with delight. Plus, the sex was INCREDIBLY hot as well as heartwarming and tender. All these feelings just started happening in the middle of all this dysfunction, and oh my -- it just perfect. Episode four (Will & Patrick Fight Their Feelings) felt like one of those romantic comedies where both characters are perfect for each other, but they just need a good shake to get them to see reason. Episode five and six (Will & Patrick Meet the Mob and Will & Patrick’s Happy Ending) packed in a lot of action and character growth, which was what I had been rooting for since I realized how badly Will viewed himself.

The real MVP of this series is Patrick, who is hands down one of my favorite characters ever. No nonsense Patrick, who is brilliant, rude, and an atypical romantic. Watching Patrick fall in love was wonderful.

I owned the first three serials on Kindle, but it wasn’t until I listened to John Solo’s narration of this audiobook that I truly fell in love with the series. John Solo is an incredible narrator who not only voices his characters, but embodies their spirits in the performance. I truly believe the reason why I felt so irritated at Will when he put himself down or cheered when Patrick confessed his love, was because John made the characters feel real. I was deeply invested and cared for these guys, and felt their emotions thanks to John’s performance. The production of the audiobook was well done, and I highly recommend it. Overall, this is a really fun story that has both humor, angst, and a lovely happy ending.

Absolutely captivating!

Will and Patrick wake up married is definitely an appropriate title. Waking up married caused major problems for do gooder Will and neurosurgeon Patrick. Due to a codicil in a will, they can't get divorced. This audio kept me captivated, laughing, and waiting for the next thing to fall! The new to me narrator has absolute distinction between characters, and nails Patrick's snark and literal interpretations. I highly recommend!
