Publisher's summary

One promise. One summer to see it through. One explosive love fueled by mutual obsession.

The day Clint sees his son, Joey, off to basic training, the young man he’s devoted his life to extracts one promise from him: spend the summer doing something selfish for a change. The request seems harmless enough until Joey puts his best friend, Raven, in charge of seeing it through.

Raven would do anything for the people who took him in as a teen, and, when it comes to Clint, anything comes without limits. When encouraging Clint to explore his selfish side reveals Raven’s love for the older man, Raven is shocked to discover his feelings may not be unrequited. Not only are they returned, but all his darkest, most hidden desires have finally found their match.

Clint’s possession feeds every craving Raven’s ever known. Raven’s openness provides Clint the freedom he’s longed for to take whatever he wants. Soon boundaries are abandoned at the bedroom door. As summer’s promise bleeds into winter, and the threat of Joey’s impending return looms over their heads, Clint and Raven love faster and harder.

When Joey’s disapproval ends up being the least of their concerns, Raven and Clint go to desperate extremes to stay close because something is better than nothing. Facing an uncertain future, both men are left wondering if they can ever go too far or risk too much and still come out on the other side whole.

Bad Wrong Things is an age-gap, best friend’s dad romance with two possessive MCs and themes of hurt/comfort and second chances. Both MCs are consenting adults and eventually get their hard-earned HEA.

Best Author of M/M Toxic Romance

The audiobook version just brought this story to life even more than I could imagine. One thing I learned about reading this book is, I tend to stay near the chaotic/toxic romance genre. I pondered to myself why I do so, and I guess it’s because I’d rather hear stories about toxic relationships and rough erotic times in my ears and sappy, small town love stories for 8 to 12 hours.

This story is about sex, fear, heartbreak and love. Second chances and forgiveness. It’s everything I could ask for in a book and I don’t think anything will ever be written as such again.

Happy listening!

My kind of book 😁

The story was great. I love the present, then backwards and the progress of the story was detailed and heart wrenching. The characters, beautifully broken and the fact that sometimes love just isn't enough is something not many authors do. There is a HEA and the steam is just 4.5 🌶 not porn on a book, but god 🥵

Surprisingly good

A very enjoyable read. Wasn’t sure at first but the narration did a great job bringing the story to life.

toxicity and angst at its finest

I'm not a fan of age-gap romance, but it was easy to overlook in this book. The angst, the toxicity, the spicy chemistry, the love, and the growth between the main characters gave me all the feels and the narrators were SUPERB!

Like a moth to flame .. They burn 🔥 🔥🌶️🌶️🔥

This was my first book from CP Harris and I was blown away . This story was toxic, possessive and utterly explosive . Clint and Raven share something so unimaginable , they burn at every touch . Their flames have burned for years and one touch , one kiss sent this pair into the hottest heat alive . But there is one problem Clint is the father of Raven’s best friend Joseph and this story flies off the page . Raven a young man that knows limit to what he wants , and uses the one thing he knows that will get him what him who he wants .
Clint the father figure has deep rooted feelings and that has not acted upon them until that one summer day . Raven and Clint spiral down the slippery slope of degradation , obsession and love. This story will rip you apart , put you back together with the toxicity ,and the possessive behaviors from the MCs as they struggle to find their HEA .
Emotions where so high in this book as both narrators Teddy Hamilton and Liam DiCosimo brought Clint and Raven to life. Loved every moment of this story and looking forward to reading/listening to more from this author .

One of my favorite books narrated wonderfully!!!

While I had already more than appreciated the story when it came out, I was overly happy to see the audiobook was in the making and couldn't wait to listen to it. I loved it, only this time it felt even better with both narrators bringing the characters to life. Good job, C. P. Harris, DiCosimo and Hamilton 😍

Wow wow wow

It was one of those books that made me feel so much to the point of exhaustion. I don’t want to give too much away because you really need to go into it blind. I’m glad the reviews that I read were vague enough that I really didn’t know how unhinged this book was going to be.

I saw the disaster between Clint, Raven, and Joey coming, but it was so much worse than I expected it to be, and it’s because they are fiercely protective of each other. I was gasping and covering your mouth…jeezy creezy is was bananas.

I loved Clint and Raven. Are they toxic, yes, but the spice is 🔥🫠, and it gets rough….very rough. Do they love each other, absolutely. Did they need as long of a break to reconcile, most definitely.

My only gripe is that I wanted more Teddy narration. I understand Liam gets most of the time because Raven is the central character, and most of the book is from his POV. When Teddy’s on, he’s fantastic. I will definitely listen or read another book by the author. I think I listen to it again, but it won’t be for a long time. My heart needs to recover.

Emotional Train Wreck!

OMG! Raven and Clint were an emotional train wreck that I could not stop listening too. I had my headphones on at 2:00 in the morning... Their situation really was impossible. I absolutely loved the pure raw imperfections of these two. Some of the things each of them would say, do and think me so angry, but that was the beauty of their story. Despite everything that kept happening, their deep connection never disappeared. It changed, sometimes it evolved, sometimes it went completely backwards, but it was real and true. This was an intense listen. Yes, it was hot and steamy, but it was something I cannot seem to put in writing that kept me completely invested in these two. Teddy and Liam were absolute perfection as narrators. Gritty, Raw and Real!
