Publisher's summary

Richard Tillson was happy with his life... well... sort of. He has spent the last few years of his life making a name for himself in the dance community, has a very expensive apartment in Manhattan and he knows he's gorgeous. So why is he so miserable?

Enter Vernon “Vet” Tate. The older brother of Richard's best friend Amanda Lynn. The first time the two men meet it's when Vet is saving Richard's life from an oncoming vehicle. Moments later Vet is turning Richard's life upside down by telling him that his baby sister, who had passed weeks before, left her three newborn children to Richard, to share custody with Vet.

Things wouldn't have been so bad for Vet if Richard wasn't also his mate, his very human mate. So how will Richard cope with becoming a father, giving up his sophisticated New York lifestyle for a ranch out in Wichita Falls, Texas, and finding out that not only do shape shifters exist, but he's the mate of the Alpha?

I found it suprising

This was not a great plot filled story but for some strange reason I really got into it. Maybe because of Sean Crisden narration. I really like Crisden narration. He can really make or break a bad story. If a story is horrible, he can turn it around and make it great just from his awesome narration. I read this story before in print and the audio format is so much better because of Crisden narration.

This is an m/m romance so don’t get this if you are not into that. And this is one the better wolf paranormal m/m romances out there. I like how the triplets always kept quiet during the smexing times. That was so funny. Even the narration mentions this… So funny.

This is only a 2 star story, but because of Crisden narration I bumped it up to a 3 star. It is a quick listen, but for the lack of m/m romance on audible, you want to listen to something worthwhile.

Not too bad.

I think the reason I think of this audiobook as highly as I did was because of Sean Crisden’s narration. He doesn’t seem to narrate many M/M books anymore and that is a shame. This is a shifter story with a true mate trope. It’s not very expansive or in-depth; but for what it is, I liked it. Some elements are pretty far-fetched, but I liked both MC’s. There were some other characters brought in that didn’t really tie into the story at all (aside from the fact that they were a gay couple) and I can only assume they are part of some other story by Vicktor Alexander that I haven’t read. The conflict at the end was...off, somehow. While the guise of the conflict was good, the actions of the characters during didn’t make a whole lot of sense. I think that part of the book could use a good revamping and ending. This book does have others that branch out from it. I got the second in the Tate Pack series, but wasn’t thrilled with it and didn’t feel the need to go any further. I definitely wouldn’t spend a whole credit on this one, but it’s not a bad way to spend $5.

Not for me...

No angst or much drama. I wasn't able to get into it. Love Sean Crisden's style, though. Might checkout sequels.

Great series, if a little short

Would you consider the audio edition of Unthinkable to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the character development and the flow of the story.

What does Sean Crisden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sean Crisden is one of my favorite vocalists. His characters are easily discernable and his inflections are not too over the top.

Cute short story, but nothing special

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

yes, the story was fine, predictable, but fine. Nice little shifter romance.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

They had their HEA and it was obvious other books were contemplated.

Have you listened to any of Sean Crisden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Mr. Crisden was why I even bought the book. I love his narration b/c he can even bring mediocre characters to life.

Do you think Unthinkable needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Eh, sure why not. Don't have strong feelins one why or another. I wasn't that invested in the characters.

Exciting story line kept you wanting more

This book had a very good story that left me hanging to know more. I really enjoyed listening to this one, the nice part about listening to this story is that as the story went on you were able to hear both sides of the story from the people in the story. You were able to listen to Cash, Nash and Olivia's side and how they were thinking which made the story very easy to follow and listen to. I can't wait to get the next book.

Short, Sexy and Steamy!

Would you consider the audio edition of Unthinkable to be better than the print version?

I've only listened to the story but I do believe that Crisden's performance made the content better.

If you’ve listened to books by Vicktor Alexander before, how does this one compare?

I haven't but I've listened to the narrator and I love him. In fact, I bought this book because it is narrated by Sean Crisden.

What about Sean Crisden’s performance did you like?

Everything.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Short, Sexy and Steamy.

Any additional comments?

Richard Tillson’s mundane life is turned upside down when his best friend’s brother shows up on his doorstep with a letter announcing that Richard has been named co-guardian of Amanda’s triplets. Richard’s best friend Amanda was killed in a hunting accident and for whatever reason, decided her three babies would be best left in the care of Richard and her brother Vernon.

Richard teeters back and forth between accepting this, following through with Amanda’s wishes, and having a nervous breakdown. He doesn’t know that Vernon, or Vet as everyone calls him, as well as Amanda and the triplets are Wolf Shifters. And he doesn’t know that he is Vet’s mate. Sure, Richard is insanely attracted to Vet on an almost animalistic level, but shifters? Over the next 48 hours, Richard moves to Texas, learns the truth about Vet’s nature, becomes a father, a lover and a mate to Vet. Talking about moving fast!

I actually quite liked this little short, sexy, shifter story. There was a level of disbelief when it came to certain aspects of the story that I usually turn my nose up on. But then there were elements of reality that kept the story grounded, so it balanced out in the end. I absolutely loved Vet and his larger than life presence, that good ole boy accent Sean Crisden gave him, and the way he cared for Richard and the triplets. This is a very sexual story, be warned it borders porn on paper, but the connection between Richard and Vet as I said was very animalistic, almost primal. So it was understandable that they were going at it on every flat surface they came in contact with.

Narrated by the great Sean Crisden, need I say more? I think this would have been a 3 star read for me had I read the print version. Crisden gave the story so much color with his tone inflections and nuances. It’s short, sexy and steamy so I highly recommend this story, but I would lean toward the audio version.
