Loved it

I love this story so much and it was so romantic yet smoking hot! Sylvia Day never lets me down with a story and narration was brilliant too.

Sexy, sultry and very very seductive as usual. I recommend everything by her - just take a sample listen to make sure it’s one of the good narrations like this one!

Those in the 19th Century were no prudes!!!!!!!!!!

What did you love best about Seven Years to Sin?

So thankful the 2 main characters were able to work it out after 7 years...they did belong together.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Seven Years to Sin?

Sister's tragedy and subsequent reaction by husband!

Which scene was your favorite?

Fun in the horse carriage and the seduction on the journey to the carribbean!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I have grown to love this genre of 19th Century British storyline!

Any additional comments?

I thought the narrator did a great job!

IF U CHANGED THE NARRATOR/READ THE BOOK THEN......

Then, and only then, will you have a decent tender book about Lady Jess witnessing, (when she was still a naive young girl on the eve of her wedding) Lord Alistair (son of an Earl) earning money as he has sex with Lady ? during a house party. This act sticks with her and she fantasises about him for 7 years, even during her happy marriage to Benedict but unfortunately Benedict dies however he leaves her a plantation in Jamaica to sell.

She embarks on a ship that is being Captained by Alistair (who has always half loved Jess) and emotions, attraction, and sexual tension build as the 2 lovers cannot deny each other any longer..... But they still have to return to England. It's a hot yet tender tale of love overcoming all - including time.

The problem occurs as soon as Fiona Underwood (the narrator) opens her mouth and thus another good book is ruined. Thankfully I could distort her voice by double speeding her voice (he he he) and I actually got through it with my sanity intact.

Worth a credit? The book is but the narrator isn't and, as a fan of Sylvia Day's work, I feel robbed of a good book. So, I hope whoever is responsible for the narration will get this re-narrated quickly.

Great story - reader wan't my favorite

Would you listen to Seven Years to Sin again? Why?

I heard this was the "pre quel" in some sense to the bared to you trilogy. I'm not sure that is correct but i really enjoyed the story. I am not usually someone who enjoys literature where the characters are set so much in the past, but i did thoroughly enjoy this book. I would reccommend it to anyone who is a fan of Sylvia Day.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jess - such a strong character and to see her transform was truly a pleasure.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I thought the voice was a little too english - althought i know it was set there i'm not sure whether i liked the reader for this story,

Great Book, bad narration

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was a great story, but listening to the narrator was not a good experience

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jessica and Alastair were a wonderful romance couple. Michael as a secondary character made me want to have a book about his romance with Hester

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Fiona Underwood?

Ashford McNabb, Susan Duerdan, Helen Stern

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes

Any additional comments?

As already expressed, the narration made me dislike the audio format for this book. I kept thinking it was a great story with wonderful dialogue that was wasted by someone that seemed to be reading as if it were a "grocery list of items" or moving so fast , as if she forgot about an appointment and had to leave...just a disappointment.

Best of Sylvia

This is probably her best book as she fully develops the characters and makes them very human in all facets. Totally enjoyed this book.

Sylvia Day Does It Again!

What did you love best about Seven Years to Sin?

The physical descriptions of the characters are very vivid.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Seven Years to Sin?

The sensual reactions of 16 year old, innocent Jessica after watching Alister having sex in the garden made me want to read on. She shared that moment with her fiancee and let you know how in touch with her sensuality she was.

Have you listened to any of Fiona Underwood’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She's an excellent actress changing her voice to fit the characters keeping you in the moment.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Sharing their past secrets and creating a loving and supportive bond between them.

Any additional comments?

The sensual, sexual scenes are graphically described and make me want to read her again and again. If I am looking for a book about sexual fantasies, she's the gal who offers it in her love stories.

Enjoyable, passion, romance and so much more!

What did you love best about Seven Years to Sin?

It was innocent and fresh at the same time, I couldn't put it down when I was reading it and listening to it was even better it transported me to the era with the story.

What other book might you compare Seven Years to Sin to and why?

I think that this is one of the best I have read; To Beguile a Beast is close but this one is so much better because it keeps the reader interested and updated on every character; although I wish the ending wasn't there and Mrs. Day's prologue included more from Hester and Michael.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

No...It was ok.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The title says it all, I would just add..."A night or exposure marked their lives and since then they belonged to each other; now seven years later they have the opportunity to dive into passion."

Any additional comments?

Great book! Mrs. Day has a talent that we are just beginning to enjoy and I hope she considers a second book on this one.
