About this listen

Taylor is a vampire - but she doesn't want to be. Turned against her will by her sadistic mistress, Celeste, she has been living a miserable life of bondage and abuse for the past six years. Finally, through the help of her best friend, Addison, Taylor is rescued, but she can't relax for long. In order to save her from an even worse fate, she is married off to Victor - a very reluctant groom who just happens to be a werewolf. Victor doesn't want to be responsible for the fledgling vampire, no matter how beautiful she is. Especially when he finds out he is the only one she can drink from. But aside from the strange arousal that overtakes him every time she sinks her dainty fangs into his throat, he has other problems to deal with...and a very big secret to hide. Their marriage of convenience is supposed to last for only three months, but Victor and Taylor find themselves drawn together by more than the vows they took. But as their attraction grows, so does something else. Inside Taylor, something is changing. She begins to have physical cravings she has never had before, insatiable appetites that only Victor can satisfy. Will she succumb to the madness growing within her, or can Victor save her from the Scarlet Heat?

Good Hot Read.

I liked Victor's voice actor a lot. Taylor's voice actor was a little more stiff but she voiced the sex scenes pretty well. The story was pretty good except for the cookie cutter plot points. I sometimes got annoyed by the back and forth convos where it seemed like the characters were repeating the same info over and over again. I did skip some dialogue because of this. Overall, I think this is a good hot read.

Heartwarming and Heated!

This is one of my favorite books I’ve gotten to enjoy in a good while. The spice is excellent and the story is FANTASTIC, and leaves me wanting to read the next book again. Gwen, what will you get up to?!

Scarlet Heat

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this audiobook to friends who enjoy a great paranormal read. Listening to the story was as fantastic as reading the book myself.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Victor. He acted so hard but was such a softie at heart and did whatever it took to protect Taylor.

Which character – as performed by Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York – was your favorite?

I enjoyed all of the character performances by Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York. When it comes to audiobooks, if I don't enjoy it even in the slightest I cannot finish them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book in one sitting so that in itself says a lot about how much I enjoyed it.

Any additional comments?

After enjoying the first two audiobooks in the series I can honestly say I cannot wait to hear Gwendolyn and Laish's story.

phenomenal

I like the narrators emotions when reading the story. Didnt like that either character didnt want to come out and say what they meant though. Love never lets you down when it comes to the right person no matter what are who they are.

Why are they still alive?

both of them are too stupid to live, they keep projecting their own reactions on each other instead of actually talking to one another. they are both so insecure and cowardly they would rather be unhappy than try, I kept screaming "this is dumb" every time they made decisions with no reason or finding out the truth

Bingeworthy!

Honestly, I listened to this book in 24 hours! I had my headphones in every minute I was able to. I enjoyed this book more than the first one, especially with the dual narration.

ig was ok 👍🏼

i feel like it could be better. the female lead is kind of too weak for my liking and sensitive but i get it. the male is great too but they have communication issues which we all have i guess with people but i feel like its too much talking and she says stupid things in my opinion . i like woman that know what they want and go for it , but not so out there either just to have a good balance. it kind of felt a little lacking in a way like vanilla but again i know she has had trauma so dont mind me . it was ok but i like more in my books. More drama, more spice, more action!

Bring On The Heat!

Would you listen to Scarlet Heat again? Why?

Absolutely!! The characters, and plot were well developed, and the length of the story was perfect, not too long and not to short.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scarlet Heat?

There were some many moments I truly enjoyed but I loved the scene of where we get to hear wolf's POV when he comes home with the trap stuck to his paw, and the scene where Victor's beast tries to heal Taylor when she gravely hurt.

What about Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York ’s performance did you like?

Mackenzie and Jeremy did an outstanding performance, and gave each character their own voice. I will definitely will be on the lookout for more audiobooks from either of these narrators!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story was so hot and steamy, and I thought I might go up in flames!

Any additional comments?

This is a credit worthy story, and I've already suggested it to several of my friends!

Howling good listen!!!

Where does Scarlet Heat rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was very good.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scarlet Heat?

When Victor is whipped and turns into the huge creature of his curse.

What does Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The duel voices. It is nice to hear two voices not just one.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really. It was way too long.

Any additional comments?

Great book. Was even better than the first.
