Publisher's summary

Fear keeps the truth away from his brothers. Fear and pain keeps him away from the man he loves.

Hawks MC member Maddox "Beast" Lawson had a difficult time growing up. Tired of being ridiculed because of his effed-up brain-to-mouth connection, it was easier to say nothing at all. Living in silence worked out just fine until that b*tch called Fate took his hearing, not only that, but she also threw him into the arms of the man who refuses to acknowledge that one hot night they shared.

Jay Conger, Knife to his brothers, loves pussy. Licking, fingering, screwing, he'll take it any way it's offered. After one surprising night with Beast, to say he's freaked out is an understatement. Hell, even bananas have taken on a new meaning, and thinking about a certain someone's body is too much. Unable to think straight, Knife is at an impasse, not only with his traitorous desire but with his heart.

Both lives are going to change. Only will it be for the better?

Contains mature themes.

good biker story

This was a good story. I love friends to lovers tropes. Even though there were 2 narrators, with one being female, it didn't take me out of the story.

Outstanding

I’ve read this book several times, and loved it. Listening to Stephen Dexters sultry voice made this book SO MUCH better.
Lila Rose never disappoints.

Good narration. Good story.

I really enjoyed the narration of this book. Stephen Dexter has a pleasant voice that suited the main characters. His performance was engaging enough to smooth out some of the rough edges of the story.

I appreciated the premise of the story. Both Jay and Maddox have some very real personal challenges to overcome. I felt that some issues were glossed over a bit too quickly. Maddox's challenges in communicating could have been explained a bit better. I also think Jay's sexuality could have been explored a bit more. I can relate to both issues on a personal level, and I thought their story would have been a great opportunity to clear up some misunderstandings about learning challenges and sexuality.

I enjoyed the story, and I will probably read more books by Lila Rose. I will definitely listen to more audiobooks narrated by Stephen Dexter.

Hear Me Out

One of my favourite books, the audio version does it amazing justice. The narrator is amazing and changes is voice depending on each character, bringing them even more alive.

I loved it!

This MC series never ceases to amaze me. First, we had Julian and Mattie, then Pick and Billy. I guess this story should have been a given..and I am here for it.

After a sleepy groping moment between Beast and Knife explodes into fear and distance, these friends are not sure where they stand. When Beasts injury damages his hearing permanently he falls into a depression until Dodge pulls him back into the fold. While dealing with his new found deafness, he is also dealing with a "coming out" of sorts with his feelings for Knife and his sexuality in general.. While he has loved his friend for years, he has never told him that he was gay. Now that they are no longer speaking, he has decided to branch out and start dating. Maybe it time for him to move on.

Knife is freaked by what happened between him and Beast. He has always been into women and now all he can think about is what he and Beast shared and now he finds that that is all he wants. Then, while he's dealing with Beast and his feelings, he finds out he is a father to a baby girl. GREAT! What does he do now? Moving in with Beast sounds like a great idea. When he finally comes to the conclusion that giving in to his urges is the only way he'll find happiness, he has to contend with other suitors finding what he's found in Beast. Getting rid of them is a no brainer..hell, they don't call him Knife for nothing.

This story is one of my favs in the series. I loved watching how Knife comes to terms with his feelings and how who you want has nothing to do with sexuality, just the connection between two people. Then once he's in, there is never any waivering. He is in 100%. While there is a new threat on the horizon for Hawks, this story is a definite must read. Heartfelt and thoughtful story.

Heartwarming MC

As an avid reader/listener this book is definitely one of the best I’ve read yet. The story line is super sweet and I love the ASL incorporation. I could really feel the loving connection between the guys. 10/10 :)
