About this listen

He's cracked....

Reaver has always been a little weird, a little strange - okay, more than a little of each. His psyche cracked right down the middle a long time ago. He holds the official title of treasurer for the Sacred Hearts MC, but he's much more than that. He's the club's enforcer, the one they call on when things need to be done quickly, quietly, and efficiently and have no traces left behind. Which is good for Reaver, very good, because it keeps the monster inside his head satisfied and in check, for the most part... but then Hayden Michaels enters the picture, and Reaver decides that he wants much more.

She's crushed....

That day was supposed to be the happiest day of Hayden's life. Instead, it left her crushed beneath a pile of emotional rubble. Is it any surprise that Reaver would be the one to pull her from the emotional wreckage left behind? Sweet, funny, caring Reaver, with eyes like the bluest winter skies and a smile that left her breath hitching every time he turned it on her. Trouble is, Reaver has a darker side, one that he has never given Hayden any illusions about. Will it be something Hayden can handle? Or will the cracks his psyche contains be the cracks in the dam that crushes her under a river of never-ending pain?

4 1/2 ⭐️ rating

This has been the best book, in the series, so far. It touched me, emotionally, much more and the story was written so much better. There weren’t annoying inconsistencies or mistakes that had to be overlooked, either.
Other reviewers have commented negatively about the male narrator and this stuns me. I have never heard another narrator put so much emotion in the dialogue and not come across as being overdone. He sounds like he IS REAVER. I believe this has a lot to do with the fact that he is also the author and knows exactly how he meant the character to be and feel. The female narrator tries to emulate his style but it comes across as forced and almost ridiculous. There is definitely some darker elements in this book, including a pretty graphic torture scene. In addition, Reaver has some very dark desires, in the bedroom, and some people may not be able to handle it.
I would have given this book a solid 5 ⭐️ rating if one big element ,in the story, hadn’t been left unresolved. It’s definitely a series worth listening to.

Love this series

The SHMC has some bad boy bikers who are fierce in their loyalty to the club and their love for their women.

Narration Ruined

This book was hard to listen to. The story line had potential but the narration and over dramatics caused me to shelf this one.

Quick, take your finger off of the buy button

I listen to about a book a day and I really tried to get beyond the narration of this one. I listened for over 3 hours and had to stop. The female sounded like a 7yr old and the male was whiny. Also, the vocabulary was nothing that a biker would use.
Take a walk in the sun, knit a cozy, heck, rob a bank! Anything but spend a penny or any time with this wast of time book.
