The Ever Hero Saga

A mystic warrior monk of Ordu flees a doomed mountaintop monastery with his wounded master in a desperate attempt to escape wicked creatures of nightmare. A chance encounter with a wood witch possessing untapped Elemenati magic, and the forbidden attraction that follows, propel two unlikely loners into events that will change the face of the Three Kingdoms of Hanna forever. Captured by the archdevil Sekka, Kasai must defeat her archnemesis, the devil Zizphander, and his legion of fire fiends at her gate in the hopes she will honor her promise and let his companions live. Six years have passed since the defeat of Sekka at the hands of the Ever Hero. The Heavenly Host has departed, leaving the lands a charred, ash-laden dystopia. Kasai Chou has returned to the ruins of Ordu, seeking solace, but finding none. Enter Cyrus Wraith, a mysterious Master Monk of Lost Symmetu, who promises to guide the famed Ever Hero back to the elusive Boundless while helping him rebuild the Four Orders of Aetenos. But Cyrus has a hidden agenda, and his obsession with the ancient staff, Ninziz-zida, quickly becomes problematic.

Kazumi is a teenaged ninja warrior eager to prove she is ready to ascend to the vaulted rank of Night Blade; an elite group of female demon slayers. Denied by her mother, the High Priestess of the Yoru Ya-iba clan to complete her training, Kazumi sets off on her own to prove her mother wrong. But chance and fate have other plans for young Kazumi when she is attacked by a monstrous chaos beast in the forest and left for dead, or so she thinks. Soon after, Kazumi realizes the horrible truth: she has become the one thing she has spent her life training to kill.
