Hi, Trapper Jack here. It’s one thing to hear from the book of Romans, ‘God works for the good of those who love Him.’ It’s quite another to hear someone living it.

In the blink of an eye, Susie’s life was changed forever. So was her marriage and family life. But Susie and Eric highlight what can happen when we invite God into the darkest of situations.

At the end of our conversation, I asked for the most recent example of joy in their lives. I don’t want to give away what Susie said, but it is the perfect ending to a story with lots of bumps and turns. I was listening to Fr. Mike Schmitz talking about the five second rule in regard to food on the floor. But, at the same time I was reading a book about a different five second rule that can literally change your life, in five seconds.

Hi there! Trapper Jack here. You are familiar with the five second rule, right? It's when you drop a piece of food on the floor and proclaim, ‘five second rule,’ and it now becomes OK to eat. But there is another five second rule.

While talking to Jenny, a God incident occurred, and a reference to a book called the Five Second Rule.
