  • Embracing Freedom: The Chief Mind Setter's Guide to Life-Work Integration
    Jan 21 2025

In this episode of The Teaching Journeys Podcast, host Dave Roberts converses with Sebastian Koellner, also known as the Chief Mind Setter. Sebastian shares his journey from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of mastering time, energy, and attention for true freedom. He details his transition to entrepreneurship, the challenges of balancing work and family, and how a pivotal question from a coach transformed his mindset. The episode delves into the power of mindset, the stories we tell ourselves, and the tools and strategies Sebastian uses to help high achievers and leaders reclaim their time and redefine success. The conversation also covers the concept of life-work integration versus work-life balance, the significance of knowing one's biorhythms, and the value of gratitude practices. Sebastian concludes by offering advice on embracing the journey of growth and transformation, and providing ways for listeners to connect with him.

    Bio

Sebastian Koellner, better known as the Chief MindSetter, believes freedom isn’t about working harder—it’s about mastering your time, energy, and attention. His philosophy? Mindset isn’t actually set—because you can change it anytime you choose.

For over 15 years, Sebastian excelled in corporate leadership, but his pursuit of success came at a cost: missed family dinners, declining health, and a constant feeling of being on the clock. When he transitioned to entrepreneurship seeking freedom, he found himself trapped in a different cycle—this time as his own toughest boss.

Sebastian realized true freedom isn’t about hustle or “someday in the future”—it’s about designing systems that let you invest your time, energy, and attention in what matters most.

Now, Sebastian helps high-performing entrepreneurs and leaders reclaim their most valuable resource - their time - and redefine success on their terms. As the Chief MindSetter, he equips clients with tools to build intentional life-work integration, empowering them to run 7-figure businesses in 30 hours a week or less.

Outside of coaching, Sebastian meditates, builds strength and vitality through exercise, and enjoys time with his three kids—because business success should never come at the cost of life’s most important moments.
