  • How To Learn To Love Yourself

    Good Morning Listeners!

    Selfcare with Li the Podcasts is back, i wanted to provide tips on how to learn to love love yourself, and letting go toxic patterns and behaviors. I know, this is a pretty deep topic for someone who has taken a brief hiatus, but i wanted to come back to the show from the summer self love series and spill all the tea on what I have learned through the process and the journey of self love. I am happily in love with myself again, but, it took a lot of hard work, it was not easy and honestly I am not done. I wanted to spread the love, in case you too, have forgotten to take care of yourself, forgive yourself, and to love on yourself.

    Life be Life-ING, i know that we pick up behavior and toxic traits by the life situatations or circumstances, but I am here to tell you, do not forget who you are during the tough times. I want to provide you with a little bit of my experience in this episode, to provide a safe space for you to feel and to let go. It takes time, although I spent my entire summer tapping back into loving myself, I am still growing through and learning how to love myself unconditionally and through the tough times.

    I want you to know that you are not alone, you are capable and deserve love. You must learn to let go of the hurt and the baggage and release the toxicity by changing your habits and your perspective. I know I always mention the 12 building blocks of selfcare:

    You can start from any of these elements of selfcare, and learn to love yourself through your process, again you are in control, just remember who you are!

    LETS IMPROVE OUR HEALTH!
    Welcome to another episode of SELFCARE WITH LI, the SUMMER SELF LOVE SERIES. This series, I want to talk about all things that are important when you are loving on yourself and becoming a better version of yourself. Moving your body and adding physical activity to your daily selfcare routine adds more benefits to your life and you know I believe in improving your overall well being and adding physical activity allows you to become your best self, and release negativity such as depression and anxiety from your mental.

    You are in control of becoming a better you! You have come this far to go further, you are an asset! To begin your journey in healthy living, you have to move around, change the scenery and really love on you! Personally, as time has moved forward and I work from home, I have developed some bad habits, such as over eatisng and not moving around. I noticed that I was barely getting steps in. I begin to research movement and how many steps you are supposed to have and its 9,000-10,000 that will change your life! It reduces death , minimizes risks for cardiovascular disease, and improves your overall mental health. This changed my views on how I live my daily life and what should be done in my selfcare routine. IT WAS TIME TO MOVE!

    I downloaded class pass to have more options, I realized quickly I am not just a gym girly, I love yoga, pilates, and cycling! It was time to change my routine and develop healthier habits. Having options allow me to feel more free in the way I get exercise in. I encourage you, if you have not done so alread to download classpass and try out classes and get involved in community! Broaden your horizons and move your body!

    I want to improve my health and my overall well being, the foods that we are consuming, are not the best for us. I do not want to add to the negative impacts of bad foods by not moving around and working on my internal health. I want to be able to say I am healthy and really mean it. I want to move around and improve my mental wellbeing, like the saying says, you are what you eat. Lets be proactive and not reactive. Lets move our bodies and get more steps in!

    I believe that adding physical activity to our selfcare routines, will set the tone for how we live our lives. We are working together to reach our highest potential. Lets reach our physical goals and be the best versions of ourselves inside and out!   • HOW TO MEDITATE: ADDING MEDITATION TO YOUR SELFCARE ROUTINE

    Good Morning Listeners,

    Happy SELFCARE WEDNESDAY! In this episode, I encourage you to add meditation to your selfcare routine, I speak on the importance of meditating before and after your day of work, or any challenging things that you have going on within your day-to-day responsibilities, to find balance and to tap in with yourself. I speak on how meditation helps me to rejuvenate and become centered. I believe meditation is a super power, the more you use it, the great er you become. I believe that meditation changed my life and transformed me into the woman I am today. As you know I begin each episode with meditation and I believe its important for my listeners to also add a daily meditation practice.

    If you are currently building a selfcare routine, it is important that you have a meditation practice. I believe it allows you to control your breathing through the times your overstimulated and your mind is wandering with negative and intrusive thoughts, it allows time for you to really tap in and breathe through your challenges and dificulties. I want to remind you to allow yourself to be free during this time and really feel the state that your body goes through when you're practicing deep breathing exercises. Along with breathwork, words of affirmation play a huge role in my meditation practice, as you can tell, I believe in speaking positivity in your day as you're getting ready to conquer the day.

    These two tips will allow you to practice meditation, build your own routine and really set the tone for the day. The Mind, Body, and Spirit are all important, meditation allows time to strengthen each and become more powerful before you began your practice and after to take on your day! You are a powerful being and you must be intentional with your plans, and your meditation practice.

    Good Morning Listeners,

    Happy Wednesday! I am so happy to be back with you all , Summer is almost here! I wanted to dedicate this episode to the Emotional selfcare building block, especially as we are so close to summer and you're around family and friends and still balancing responsibilities, that could lead to pressure and or stress, maybe even anxiety, I know that it can be difficult to juggle work/life, when you are feeling angry, disrespected, mad, sad and or all emotions. I want to provide useful tips when you're under alot of pressure. I want you to gain control over your emotions, process them, and determine if the circumstance, situation, and or person deserves your response and or reaction.

    Alot can change in an instant, it is important to be well prepared. I discussed in previous podcasts on impulsivity, I believe that if you suffer with impulsive behaviors, this podcasts will help center and ground you when you are feeling reactive and or acting off of emotions or feelings. I believe we can be the best versions of ourselves if we just take time out to be more intentional about everything within the day. I believe that you are capable of all things that you put your mind too. Controling your emotions during difficult times is one of them.

    There's a lot of growth through out this podcasts, you all are reaching your highest potential, accomplishing goals, and I am happy to witness you all living your best lives. I want you to continue to be your best self, even under pressure, no one deserves to see the worst side of you, so learn to never let them see you sweat!
