With the Trade deadline and other events looming this season, we go over some ongoing concerns (yes even a First Place team can have some concerns!) I think you will like the way Jini does not hold back in how things may work out!

But of course not without a timely discussion of how to cope during a not-so-dry January. Spoiler alert---there will be complaints about snow. Also the Mermaid has a homework assignment--regarding hew newfound favorite drink.

Four games to cover......four games that were, at times, difficult to endure given what we Caps fans have gotten used to. But as they say they road is long and the season is a marathon and not a sprint, Anna and I break down the four games as only we can. We also offer our critique of the team's recent play and what might get them back to.....a more consistent line of results.

However before we begin, we give our attention to the recent tragedy in the Los Angeles area. We both have people there who have been affected at least in some way.And in their case, yes the road is even tougher and longer. Do what you can to make it easier on them by donating to the American Red Cross today.

Also we speak about our beloved Color Commentator, Craig Laughlin and his recent health issues. He has his own road to recovery he must travel. Send him your most positive vibes and be sure to wish him well. Something else that will do his heart good is a donation to The Laughlin Family Foundation to support research for rare cancers.

And to anyone else facing their own challenges early in this New Year....the road may be long, but let this serve as a reminder that you're not alone. We're a community. A family unto our own. There is a way home. If you are a Caps fan you are already here.
