• Season 2 - Episode 6 - Braves? Return to Form?
    Feb 28 2025

We love to hear your thoughts. Tell us how you enjoyed the Podcast.

In our 6th episode of Season 2, we are going to talk a little bit about the Braves. Can they return to their 2021 World Series team dominance?

Since we had our Roadtrip episode in Episode 5 I was thinking that the Braves have a lot of their minor league affiliates close. Then I realized the Atlanta Braves and Seattle Mariners are ONLY MLB teams with their top minor league affiliate in the same metropolitan area as the major league city.

  • Season 2- Episode 4 - Spring Training 2025
    Feb 14 2025

We love to hear your thoughts. Tell us how you enjoyed the Podcast.

In our 4th episode of Season 2, we will dive into the start of Spring Training 2025!

Wow, lots of changes during this past offseason. I’m a bit of a snot head today so sorry about my voice. Seems like forever since the Dodgers beat the Yankees in the World Series, especially for Yankee fans. Did the Dodgers sign EVERYBODY, or it just seems that way?

What are SOME things that are new this offseason:

Juan Soto is in a different part of NY, as he moves to Queens on the NY Mets. It will be exciting to see him team up in the lineup with Francisco Lindor. Can he make an impact on that lineup as he did with the Yankees last year?

Shohei Ohtani is returning to pitching? Is he really? It will be interesting to see how this impacts his offensive numbers from last year. IF he really returns to pitching, what can we seriously look forward to in production? I doubt he steals half the SB’s as last year for one.

Roki Sasaki is in rookie year after signing with…the Dodgers. MLB Network already anointed him the Top 100 Players already. I think that is a joke, but we will see.

Mookie Betts is BACK at SS…again? I do NOT understand why they are playing yo-yo with Mookie. I’d leave him in right…

Ian Anderson last pitched in the Majors in 2022 with the Atlanta Braves. After missing 2023 having Tommy John surgery, will he be able to bounce back this year and make a much needed impact with the Atlanta Braves.

  • Season 2- Episode 3- Steroids - 30 Years Later
    Feb 7 2025

We love to hear your thoughts. Tell us how you enjoyed the Podcast.

In our third episode of Season 2, we will discuss a subject that can be considered taboo: Steroids. It’s time to address this issue, especially with the recent Hall of Fame candidates back in the spotlight. Alright, let’s dive in!

Steroids... It's often seen as a dirty secret in sports, right? However, it's been 30 years since the fallout from this issue. We now have fans who were born long after this era and who may not know much about it. In this episode, we will revisit and reexamine this significant time in baseball history. So, when was this era? I would say it spans from 1991 to 2003. Why these specific dates? We could consider 1985 to 1993 as the "Pre-Steroids Era" and 1994 to 2004 as the "Steroids Era."

Steroids were banned in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 1991, but testing for their use did not begin until 2004. During this time, MLB turned a blind eye to the situation as attendance and interest in the game soared due to the surge in offensive performance. After all, fans love home runs.

Season One of the podcast became a labor of love. We worked hard to define our identity, and it wasn’t always easy. We faced some initial technical difficulties with microphone clarity and made a few rookie mistakes along the way.

    And so we Began…

Would Greg Maddux Even Be Drafted in Today’s Analytical MLB?

To determine if Greg Maddux would be drafted in today's analytical MLB, we must consider several factors that have evolved in the game, particularly the focus on analytics, velocity, and various pitching styles.

    Managers in Question

    Derek Shelton, Pittsburgh Pirates

Derek Shelton signed a contract extension with the Pirates last year, but the terms were undisclosed. It looked like Pittsburgh was a legitimate wild-card threat earlier in the season. However, I was disappointed with the Pirates' collapse in the second half of the season. They were an exciting team, but their offense ranked near the bottom in most categories. This is not a good sign as a young team that finished second in the league with over 1,500 strikeouts. The team needs some veteran leadership. Who is the leader of this team? Is it Bryan Reynolds or Oneil Cruz? Unfortunately, they don't make enough contact and struggle to stay competitive in games. Derek Shelton? BEING WATCHED
