• Faith Over Forks: How to Let God Lead Your Eating Habits

    1 Corinthians 10:31 says, "So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." What does that encourage you to do? The part, or whatever you do, speaks volumes to me, does it you?

    Whatever we do we are to honor God. When we Pray before we shop, Pray before we eat and Pray over our triggers, God can show up for us and lead us as He needs to.

    This verse and this call is a constant reminder that God alone is our Provider and He will give us everything we need when we seek His face. Will you have the courage to give Him your choices today?

  • 3 Ideas if you Want to Food Prep as a Busy Family

    Failing to plan is planning to fail, these words stuck with me after hearing my trainer speak them a few years back.

    Making time to plan and prep as a busy family is KEY to not only your weight loss but creating healthy habits for your kiddos as well. Here are 3 steps to get started.

    1. PLAN! Sit down with everyone for 5-10 minutes on Sunday and see when it works best to prep.

    2. DELEGATE! Get everyone in the kitchen to help! Teaching our kids to prep and cook and chop are lessons they'll pass down for generations.

    3. Get MESSY! Make memories. Let your kids pick a meal to make or an ingredient to try. Getting their buy in makes this fun but also gives them buy in and stake in the game!

  • Sick of Starving Yourself? 3 Steps to Eat MORE Without Guilt and Shame

    I have legit PTSD from shaming myself to skinny, it is STILL a thought I have to take captive and give to God on the daily...you are NOT alone. So many days I still see myself as a 250-pound sad sack, but that is NOT who I was then or who I am today and neither beloved are you.

    Listen, you will NEVER starve yourself to skinny, not sustainably anyway. Your body requires fuel to lose weight, but more importantly your mind requires rewiring after decades of marketing nonsense telling us to eat less and move more. Our weight and food and diets have become idols distracting us from living in our God-given purpose and the enemy loves it.

    Here are 3 steps to take to give God your weight loss journey and let Him through the Holy Spirit lead you to sustainable weight loss in a way that honors Him, regardless of the number on the scale.

    1. There are few women out there who should be eating LESS than 2,000 a day. The average woman weighing 200 pounds NOT exercising requires a MINIMUM of 2000 calories a day to LOSE WEIGHT. This goes against everything we've heard and learned, but it IS the truth and when we let God lead, He will show us exactly why and how.

    2. 25-30 grams of protein PER MEAL -preferably 5 meals per day. This will take time for your body to adjust, you WILL gain weight as your body figures out how to redistribute the fuel it's getting that it's been missing. Stay OFF the scale, results WILL come.

    3. Stop, for the love of all things, counting calories and eliminating food groups. God may convict you to give up sugar eventually, if so fine, obey, but for now just pray and ask Him to lead you to leaning on Him through this transition. Give yourself grace, pray for strength and the POWER of the Holy Spirit will begin to show up more as you trust.

  • Tired of Hitting Snooze? 3 Ways to Look Forward to Waking Up Early

    I could chat about this topic all day! Listen, this was HARD for me, I had to rely on God's strength instead of my own, but knowing I needed to make this change allowed me to be choose gratitude that I even was BLESSED to get life that day, not everyone did.

    Here are my 3 steps: (be teachable always) if you're not where you need to be, have the COURAGE to make a new choice then take the ACTION required!

    1. Pray the night before and ask God to give you His strength when the alarm goes off!

    2. Set your phone or alarm a MINIMUM of 10 feed from your bed, NO MORE GOING TO SLEEP WITH IT BESIDE YOU. As you walk to it, thank God for life and breath and the strength to stay up and grateful!

    3. Set alarm volume on HIGH with worship music or a sound that will wake you up JOYFULLY.

    THIS WILL WORK, PRAY THROUGH IT AND HE WILL PROVIDE

  • Ready to Shift Your Attitude? 2 Hacks to Love Your Body

    What season of life are you in? Are you requiring more GRACE than grind? I know I am as a new mama. If you're struggling to love your body today, like I am, let's add these 2 hacks to our love arsenal.

    1. Focus on all your body does for you. Did you wake up today? Walk to the car? Make food for your family? Who does God say you are? Let's start praying through unhealthy thoughts about our bodies and start to THANK her daily for all she does. When we operate in a heart posture of gratitude, we begin to focus on who we are instead of who society says we "should" be.

    2. Unfollow. Unsubscribe. Bless and release. If a page or person is making you feel unworthy, bless and release. Your duty is to live for Christ ALONE, no one else, not even yourself. Remove the barriers keeping you from seeing yourself as He does, righteous, forgiven, fearfully and wonderfully made.

    This is a massive perspective shift, but it's required for sanity, healing and ultimately reaching your own personal goal. God has you right where He needs you, so be IN the moment and watch Him work!

  • "Food Prep Takes too Long- 3 Excuse Breakers to Get You in the Kitchen TODAY!

    Are you tired of making excuses for not prepping and being unprepared through the day? I know the struggle to plan, shop and prep! Hopefully these steps will help you bust the excuses and get to prepping today!

    1. Schedule it. Like a hair or nail appointment, give yourself 1-2 hours and thank God for your fridge and pantry and the opportunity to use your time well. Failing to plan is planning to fail and it's time to lay down our excuses and seek God's strength.

    2. Bulk prep. No one wants to eat the same thing 5 nights a week, so cook all your proteins, carbs and veggies and store separately. This keeps from boring meals and the same thing over and over. Freeze any unused food and you'll have bonus meals later down the road!

    3. Make it a family affair! This gets the family in the kitchen together and off their screens, it creates healthy habits and fun memories that will last a lifetime!

  • The Scale. Help or Hinder? 5 Questions I Ask Before My Weekly Weigh-in
    Jan 9 2025

    The scale is simply a tool for your weight loss journey, just like your fit tracker, workout bike or anything else, it does not define you. If the scale is an idol for you, throw it away, if you'd like to set a healthy boundary with your scale, here are 5 questions I ask myself before my weekly weigh-in.

    1. What does my scale record? It should give you measurements beyond just your weight.

    2. Did I push harder in my workouts? If the scale doesn't show my progress, my cardiovascular health will.

    3. Did I eat enough? Did I follow my macro plan and give my body what she needs?

    4. Did I get enough rest? 7-8 hours of sleep before your weekly weigh-in is ideal.

    5. WATER. Did I drink 1/2 my weight in ounces this week? Am I hydrated?

    These 5 questions will help you tune in to your body in a new way. Of course, prayer above all and seeking God's word is the ONLY way to truly reach and sustain any weight loss goal. Obey the Holy Spirit and you will achieve your Godly goals.
