    Growing up in the Midwest with an abusive, alcohol-addicted father and grandfather, he vowed to break the cycle of addiction in his family. He pursued a doctorate in psychology, initially believing he had overcome his family's struggles.

    In 2009, Dunbar's expertise led to opportunities in the entertainment industry. He was selected by Ryan Seacrest for roles as a "Shrink" and "Life Coach" in pilot programs for LA Shrink and Endemol Productions' Dallas Life Coach.

    But despite his background, Dustin eventually found himself struggling with alcohol dependency after years of moderate drinking. At 48, he overcame his addiction and dedicated himself to helping others do the same.

    Today, he is an author, coach, advocate, and speaker. He wrote "You're Doing Great... and Other Lies Alcohol Told Me," combining humor and personal anecdotes to explore myths about alcohol consumption – that book is in front of me as we speak. He coaches at WeAretheAFR.org and founded the "Alcohol Free Revolution" to support those seeking sobriety.
