  • Joel Bolomboy inducted into the Weber State Hall of Fame

    Hear from Wildcat men’s basketball legend Joel Bolomboy, who is now a member of the Weber State Athletics Hall of Fame. Joel was a standout for the Wildcats from 2012-16 and is one of the best players in school history. He was a Big Sky MVP, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, helped the Wildcats to two Big Sky titles and two trips to the NCAA Tournament, and was drafted in the NBA. He was inducted into the Weber State Athletics Hall of Fame in September 2024.   • Carl Arky returns as voice of the Wildcats

    Carl Arky is returning as the radio voice of the Wildcats. Arky has been named the new radio play-by-play voice of Weber State Athletics and will broadcast WSU football and men’s basketball games beginning this season. Wildcat games will once again be broadcast on 103.1 FM “The Wave”. Arky is a former Utah Sportscaster of the Year and was the radio broadcaster at Weber State for over 17 years from 1998-2015. He takes over as the radio announcer for Steve Klauke who tragically passed away in June in an auto-pedestrian accident. Arky called nearly all Weber State men’s basketball and football games from 1998 to 2015. He was named the Utah Sportscaster of the Year in 2011. He called several memorable Wildcat games, including multiple NCAA Tournaments. In his first year during the 1998-99 season, the Wildcat men’s basketball team won the Big Sky and beat North Carlina in the NCAA Tournament. He is joined by Paul Grua in this podcast and talks about the loss of Steve Klauke and the impact that had on him. He also talks about returning to call Wildcat games, previous memories of Weber State broadcasts, and his long broadcasting career. The end of the podcast also includes a few highlight calls from Steve Klauke as the voice of the Wildcats.
