About this listen
Are you fed up with poor-quality, pesticide-laced, and overpriced fruits and vegetables at your supermarket? It’s time to start growing your own sustainable food garden!
The catastrophes of climate change are upon us. We see floods, droughts, and wildfires on the news regularly.
But have you ever stopped to think about the impact of these events on our food supply?
Due to climate change, the number of bees and butterflies in Europe is declining rapidly. The US alone has lost 45.5 percent of its honeybee colonies from April 2020 to April 2021, according to a survey conducted by the nonprofit Bee Informed Partnership (BIP).
Here’s why these numbers are so alarming: 75 percent of global crops rely on animal pollination.
The UN World Food Program reports 957 million people don’t have enough food. Unfortunately, without pollinators, this is only going to get worse.
To compensate for the lack of pollinators, companies are using more and more chemicals to grow food, a practice that can result in serious health consequences.
What if there was a way to grow nutritious fruits and vegetables right from your own backyard garden, attract native pollinators, and encourage them to thrive, resulting in more food in your kitchen?
And what if we told you that it was far easier than you thought? Think of it as your own organic edible plants in your backyard garden landscape.

Story
Our future selves are obstinate in repeating the same errors every single time. In this book, I will describe elements in ourselves that contribute to what I call the “stupidity factor” of our future selves. I will present tips and techniques that you can use for taming that incorrigible future self to be less…stupid. Because when you realize your future self is still you, you will most likely behave the same way your present self behaves in the future. That’s an advantage because the future self will never magically change or surprise you with new behaviors. That’s a fact!

Story
People have been living off the land for millions of years, and in recent times, self-sustainability has become a hot topic. Rising costs in supermarkets and the lack of true organic produce have led to more and more people turning to their own gardens to provide some of their food. The only way to eat truly organic and healthy produce is to grow your own, and over the years, I've made the mistakes and learned from them so that I can pass my knowledge on to you. Make no mistake; gardening is not easy, but it is one of the most rewarding things you can do for a healthier life.

When this continues, the brain-gut connection will become toxic, resulting in a weak immune system and poor mental health. So, to help your kid overcome emotional and behavioral problems, you need to be mindful of their diet.

An Excellent Book! Don’t Hesitate!!!
I love a book about pollinators! I’ve raised bees in the past and so they are close to my heart. This book teaches you how to maximize your yield by natural means, pollinators, and appropriate companion gardening. It’s a great resource that I will go back to over and over!
The narration was also excellent. Very engaging and captivating. Well done! Thank you Karen for this excellent book. Looking forward to your next book!

Easy to Understand and Straightforward!
I really enjoyed this book. I am new to gardening, having grown my first garden in 2021. I learned a lot from that experience, but wanted to up my game and get some additional pointers on what I could do differently this time around to have an even more successful garden.
Lots of information is given in an easy to understand format with great examples included. Fertilizer usage was a favorite topic of mine, as there are so many kinds that it gets confusing and overwhelming. I am already planning my compost pile to be started soon.

I Learned So Much and was Captivated
This was a great read../ or rather a great listen. The narrators tone was easy to listen to and kept you engaged. But also, the content was so thoughtful and thought out! I learned facts about pollinators I never knew and more about companion planting! I just realized I should not have planted my tomato plant so close to my potatoes!
You will really enjoy this audiobook. It’s wonderful. You will learn and be entertained at the same time.

Incredible Amount of Detail
This book educated me so much about pollinators. I never would’ve guessed some of the mammals that were listed as pollinators! And this information is great no matter where you are in the world! Karen goes into detail chapter by chapter by region of what kind of plants and vegetation would survive in your environment. If we want to keep the planet and environment healthy we need books like this and people like Karen to spread the word. Also I love how she gave information about which vegetables to plant with others for a healthy garden. PHENOMENAL JOB!!
