About this listen

If you have ADHD, your brain doesn't work in the same way as a "normal" or neurotypical brain does because it's wired differently. You and others may see this difference in circuitry as somehow wrong or incomplete. It isn't. It does present you with significant challenges like time management, organization skills, forgetfulness, trouble completing tasks, mood swings, and relationship problems.

In Your Brain's Not Broken, Dr. Tamara Rosier explains how ADHD affects every aspect of your life. You'll finally understand why you think, feel, and act the way you do. Dr. Rosier applies her years of coaching others to offer you the critical practical tools that can dramatically improve your life and relationships.

Anyone with ADHD - as well as anyone who lives with or loves someone with ADHD - will find here a compassionate, encouraging guide to living well and with hope.

Interesting and informative BUUUUUT

The way she pronounces “adHd” with the emphasis on the H is really annoying, I don’t know who told her to say it like that but it was like nails on a chalkboard every time. The overall narration is pleasant enough, except for that.

Just a bag full of weird

It was really awesome to know my brain isn’t broken. I was able to understand my ADHD. I felt seen. I love knowing I’m not the only one with these thoughts.

Informative and Suportive

This book is super! It helped me put together a lot of pieces in my life and provided me with insight into why the current treatment I’ve been receiving isn’t working (I am misdiagnosed). This book lays out the subtleties of the symptoms and then goes to the next level by providing strategies for managing life with ADHD better!

Good info but narrator puts me to sleep!

I know the content is good, but the narrator is so monotone that I tune out no matter how hard I try to pay attention.

Must have for learning about ADHD

This book does very well with destigmatizing ADHD, examining what it is, and well as providing working strategies for dealing with it.

My life will never be the same!

I have spent many years trying to figure out what is the right way to do life. I’ve spent many years trying to figure this out. Why am I so different? Why do I feel like I have this in super power but rest I’m the only one that sees it? This question has plagued me when I win, when I lose, And everything in between. Hearing about the solve it grid for the first time will always be a memory that will stay stitched in my brain. “My brain is not broken” are the words that I’ve been needing to hear my whole life. I have such clarity now, I feel like I’m cheating. It feels like I have finally unlocked me, well, the best version of me. I’m so ready to take on the world and I don’t know if I would’ve done that without listening to this book. Thank you Susie Althens. Whoever you are, you allowed me to be a better husband, father, employee, Christian, and a better person overall for everybody I come in contact with. May God repay you in all his glory.

Amazing - onto my second read

So much more helpful than other ADHD books, especially in the way it affects our emotions, how to understand what is going on in our brains, and what we can do about it. Engaging, super practical, and a book that I will go back to again and again. Highly recommend getting the printed version as well and taking time to SLOW DOWN (I know this can be challenging for many of us!) and process/write in the book/refer back to it. Great job and THANK YOU TAMERA ROSIER!
