About this listen

A gripping Clone Wars-era adventure featuring a showdown between Grand Master Yoda and his former apprentice, the sinister Count Dooku.

The savage Clone Wars have forced the Republic to the edge of collapse. During the height of the battle, one Jedi Knight escapes the carnage to deliver a message to Yoda on Coruscant. It appears that Dooku wants peace and demands a rendezvous. Chances are slim that the treacherous Count is sincere but, with a million lives at stake, Yoda has no choice.

The meeting will take place on Vjun, a planet steeped in evil. The challenge could not be more difficult. Can Yoda win back his once promising pupil from the dark side or will Count Dooku unleash his sinister forces against his former mentor? Either way, Yoda is sure of one thing: this battle will be one of the fiercest he’ll ever face.

A good story and narration.

I liked the story. I don't know that it was so great that I'll re-listen, but it was a nice listen.

Finally unabridged!!!!

Whoever is responsible for re-releasing these previously abridged Star Wars audiobooks into unabridged format, I want to express to you a very heartfelt thank you. This book is great! As to the narration, as far as I’m concerned there are only two narrators for Star Wars audiobooks; Marc Thompson and Jonathan Davis. They turn these novels into movies for your ears and this one is no exception. If you love the unabridged Star Wars EU novels, this is a no brainer.

Yoda : Dark Randezvous

Back in the day I read everything The Clone Wars. This is an insightful look into the relationship between Dooku and Yoda. This is the first and only Yoda centric novel and it was great fun.
We also learn a lot about several Padawans from Revenge of the Sith.
Jonathan Davis is brilliant as always.

Finally!

This is the recording I have been waiting for. The novel gives us more Yoda than we ever had in a novel before. I do however, think that Marc Thompson would have been a better narrator, because his impression of Yoda is spot on.

Another excellent Star Wars book

Great book in a long line of great books. None of the things that is ruining Star Wars books for me are in this one. No pronouns that don't make sense, or same sex love stories. Johnathan Davis is a legend too!

The life of Yoda and his handling of the young ones.

Liked the overall story and Yoda's interaction with the Count. Liked Wi and South's interaction also.

awesome

I have loved every book so far. learning more and more that I didn't know. I've even cried at places, because some one died or made the wrong decision to come back to the light side of the froce. Yoda is one of my favorite characters, besides Chewbacca and R2D2, and i Obi-Wan Kenobi.. Can't wait to read the other books.

Good Story but goes against both recent and legends canon

The story was great, easy enough to follow along with. The narration was great, easy to identify different characters, pronunciation was correct. Although the story was good it does not align with Canon, both Disney and Legends canon. Ventress was described as having head tattoos for each warlord she killed, but in Clone Wars as well as Ashoka, she is pale skinned, bald, and has no head tattoos. 4 of 5*. I have listened to this book around 7 times through.

A funny and original look at master yoga and the impact he had as grand master of the Jedi.

A unique and light hearted look into how master yoda made light of dark situations. I read this book a while ago and listening to it is almost an entirely different experience I highly enjoy.
