The Real Deal

I give the book a rating of 5 stars because it is practical, upbeat, and has ideas you can put into action the day you listen to it. I'm a single mom, and I feel sort of left out of most books where a two-parent home is the focus. This author accepts the family arrangement as is and gives ideas for any parents to try. Some of the advice is just common sense, but it's packaged in a new and creative way. It also helps with coping with my aging and disabled mother who is usually in a bad mood. I got her to smile this morning. :D If you're a busy mom/adult daughter with people to care for, you can't go wrong with listening to this book, even if you have to do it while washing dishes or in the car on the way to work.
