Simple easy to follow advice

What a difference it has made for our family in recognizing each child's individual love language, I wish I would have found this along time ago but it's applicable to all ages of children and I'm glad we found it now!

Needs to be required reading

I recommend this book to anyone but especially if you experienced Childhood Emotional Neglect or your parents didn’t say I love you much.
This is also a must if you are struggling with discipline and your children.

Great Read!

This book was great to reflect on the way I interact with children, my family interacts with children and how I was treated as a child. I really enjoyed looking at all the perspectives of how children and adults received and give love. MUST READ FOR Teachers, Parents, Grandparents and anyone who cares about the impact they have on children.

Good Core Ideas

A little hard to follow due to a huge amount of examples. I also found it discomforting that the authors seperated girl children and boy children as needing seperate types and shows of love. my daughter needs some of the things specifically suggested for boys only, and yes, she identifies as a girl.

Good

Overall very good, especially the chapters about single parents and the expectations of being "in love" vs loving someone, which is great advise in this day and age. The only complaint I have is the overt "Christian" overtones, which may be off-putting to people of different faiths or believe systems.
