Quick Reference Mentor

I found this very helpful, dispite knowing some things already. I loved hearing her personal stories, HONEST opinions, and advice about women and the workplace. It's still a male favorable world and it's nice to have some good advice and input from someone who's "been there, done that".

Charming!

What did you like best about Women, Work, and the Art of Savoir Faire? What did you like least?

The best part of this book for me was that it was narrated by the author, Mireille Guiliano. I don't know that I really learned anything new but it was an enjoyable listen - just not one of my favorites.

Career Advice From Your French Fairy Godmother

Author and narrator Mirelle Guiliano plays the part of the gentle, wizened, french-accented mentor in this great book of advice on the act of balancing career and life and doing it with style and class.

It's cliche these days, but it is still a man's world, especially in many work places and women are still struggling to find a way to fit in to the male-culture board rooms and golf courses. Guiliano shares her own, and other women's stories of how they made the workplace their own and succeeded.

Loved it

This was a delightful book. I especially loved the authors accent and her honest perspective on ways that American women can utilize savoir-faire to their advantage and especially for professional growth. Wished I’d read this book years ago. It’s equal parts: fun, lifestyle, and career development!

Great tips for women in business

As a 40 year old business professional woman, I found this book very informative and relevant. I only wish I would have read this book sooner in my career. I feel anyone who is just starting their career or wants to advance in their career would benefit from this book.

Career Advice for a Person in Marketing

I give this book 3.5 stars. The author's career advice is common sense and may not even apply to some people. The author worked in marketing and seems comfortable with crafting pitches, making cold calls, and doing interviews on the radio. That type of assertiveness would be torture for some people.

Wow

I love all books by this author. She first captivated me with French women don’t get fat. She so elegant, completed and poised. This book is for women looking for a mentor one that tells you everything good and bad. She covers almost all topics. If I can choose one book that all women should read or listen to it’s this one. Thank you Mireille
