Winner of the 2017 Rainbow Award for Best Bisexual Paranormal Romance

Running from the past.

Trent Pielmeyer is so done with legend tripping. Hauntings? Nope. Cryptid sightings? Hard pass. Dimensional portals? Not just no but oh, hell no. Because after seven years’ captivity in a whacked-out alternate reality, he’s been there and done that and done that and done that. No more supernatural shenanigans for him. Ever. Full stop.

Wrestling with the past.

When Christophe Clavret spots Trent in a Portland bar, he detects a kindred spirit—another man attempting to outrun the darkness of his own soul. But despite their sizzling chemistry, Trent’s hatred of the uncanny makes Christophe hesitant to confide the truth: he’s a werewolf, one of a dwindling line, the victim of a genetic curse extending back to feudal Europe.

Overtaken by the past.

But sinister forces are at work, threatening more than their inescapable attraction. If Christophe can’t win Trent’s trust, and if Trent can’t overcome his fear of the paranormal, the price might be not only Trent’s freedom but Christophe’s very humanity.

Or it could cost both their lives.

Wolf’s Clothing is an age gap, hurt/comfort, opposites attract supernatural suspense romance featuring old rivalries, disapproving families, awkward reunions, disbelieving investigators, and, of course, an HEA.

Note: This book was previously published. It has been lightly revised and re-edited, but the story remains the same.

Fantastic book!

"Wolf's clothing" is the second book in the series and it is not a standalone. We follow Trent, one of the side characters from book one and a favorite of mine. I really wanted to read his story when I finished book one. I absolutely adored this book. The plot had me hooked from chapter one and I couldn't stop listening. I thought that the werewolf lore was very interesting and unique, I loved it. The suspense storyline was amazing, chef's kiss.
Both Trent and Christophe were wonderful main characters, well written, with intriguing backstories. And they were perfect together. I was rooting for them.
I also loved seeing Riley and Logan again. Christophe and Logan's first interaction was very entertaining.
The narrator was perfect, I love how he voiced Trent and Christophe. I especially liked Christophe's accent. Great audiobook quality. I know I will listen it again, it's definitely a new favourite. Highly recommend.

more legends to trip with

I think what I liked most about this story was how connected to the first book and world created it is. There is not really an overarching plot but the characters from the first book are an intrinsic part of this story.
Trent and Kristof are wonderful as tgey deal with their issues together and so supportive of each other. How often do you hear a character say that they love a partner with issues?
Joel Leslie, as always, is a joy to listen to.

His wolf

I had read Wolf's Clothing ages ago. Hearing the story definitely added depth and really upped the enjoyment factor. Both Trent and Christophe are damaged. Trent from his seven years trapped in the Ghost Wars. And Christophe from what he feels is his curse, needing to shift into his wolf. Christophe didn't dismiss Trents story and say he was crazy. But how he revealed his wolf to Trent was quite funny and had me laughing out loud.
I loved their spirit and their bravery. Joel Leslie has a lovely and relaxing voice. And really brought the story alive for me.
I received an advance copy of this audio and this is my review.

really enjoyed the story

Wolf's Clothing is the second book in the Legend Tripping series. This book could be read as a standalone but I think it is best after reading or listening to Stumptown Spirits, the first book in the series. This story is about Trent who is back from seven years in an alternate reality and Christophe a werewolf from a dieing line. This book is a quick read with low angst but plenty of steam. I really loved watching Trent and Christophe figure things out. I actually enjoyed this book more than the first one in the series. E.J. Russell is an amazing author and I look forward to her next book. If you get the audio narration, Joel Leslie does a wonderful job of narrating this series. He makes the change in characters seamlessly. I can't wait to listen to the next book he does. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Enjoyable

Wolf’s Clothing (Legend Tripping #2) By E.J. Russell is an entertaining jaunt back to Portland. Trent is an interesting and complex character with a trunk full of trauma. His history, triggers, and family all play a supporting role in this story. Christophe is a sexy cinnamon roll. I enjoyed their dynamic, a lot. As always, the setting and legend tripping is done incredibly well. Joel Leslie narrating is stellar. Enjoyable listen!
