About this listen

Half-vampire Ollie inherits his uncle's detective agency in the undead town of Skullenia. With the agency comes his uncle's staff: a zombie who can barely hold himself together, a zombie the size of a phone box and with a single digit IQ, a mad professor, and Ronnie, who has the ability to make himself invisible.

Skullenia seems to be the last place that would need a detective agency. At least, that is what Ollie thinks until Count Jocular commissions him to help resolve a series of unexplained disappearances.

But, has Ollie bitten off more than he can chew? With the help of his motley crew and some quite frankly ridiculous characters, he attempts to solve this perplexing mystery.

Its a right here wolf!

Ladies and gentlemen, lords and ladies, witches and wizards, and all beings in between, gather 'round for a tale that's sure to tickle your funny bone and send shivers up your spine – "Wherewolf," the first installment in the uproarious Skullenia series by the one and only Tony Lewis, brought to life through the enchanting narration of the marvelous Toby J. Smith!

Imagine, if you will, a world where vampires sip their tea (with just a hint of blood, of course) alongside werewolves sporting monocles, all residing in the quaint and quirky town of Skullenia. Now add a dash of chaos and a pinch of mystery, and you've got yourself a delightful recipe for literary escapism!

Our unlikely hero, Ollie, is a half-vampire who finds himself in the unenviable position of inheriting his dearly departed uncle's detective agency. But this is no ordinary detective agency, mind you. Oh no, this one caters exclusively to the supernatural denizens of Skullenia, a town where the undead have more life in them than most of the living! Picture Ollie, a charming mix of wit and dry humor, navigating through a world where the supernatural is the new normal and where even the most peculiar of creatures stop to ponder life's curiosities.

Toby J. Smith's narration is nothing short of a masterpiece. With each inflection and intonation, he brings to life a cast of characters that leap from the page to dance within the theatre of your mind. His skillful portrayal of Ollie's wry observations and the otherworldly shenanigans of Skullenia's inhabitants will have you grinning like a Cheshire cat and cackling like a delighted witch.

The beauty of "Wherewolf" lies in its ability to seamlessly blend the supernatural with the everyday, the extraordinary with the mundane. As Ollie takes on cases involving mysterious disappearances and uncanny happenings, you'll find yourself drawn into a world where the line between the eerie and the endearing is as thin as a ghost's whisper.

Lewis's writing is a true testament to his creativity and comedic prowess. The humor is sharp, the wit is as quick as a spell cast by a skilled magician, and the pacing keeps you engaged from the first page to the very last. This book is a whirlwind of laughter, mystery, and heart, leaving you with an insatiable craving for more of Skullenia's enchanting escapades.

So, dear readers and listeners, if you're in the mood for a tale that's as amusing as a coven of witches playing charades and as charming as a vampire ball under the moonlight, "Wherewolf" is an absolute must-read! With Tony Lewis at the helm and Toby J. Smith guiding your auditory journey, you're in for a literary experience that's nothing short of magical. Embrace the peculiar, embrace the supernatural, and embrace the sheer joy of "Wherewolf" – your ticket to Skullenia's unforgettable embrace!

Dry British humor? I think not!

This book was awesome, I can't wait for the next one. I love the paranormal books, I love the small differences from British authors. Combine them for an awesome story. The deadpan delivery from the narrator just adds to the story.
