About this listen
Charlie Renfrew is too busy and too broke for a love life. There's no room in a schedule crammed with university, a full-time job, music, and his very committed relationship with overthinking. Hence the dating ban. Which is exactly when Ben Campbell shows up with his piercings, quirky knits, and indie rock fame. But maybe it's time for Charlie to trade caffeine for something hotter, blonder, and completely out of his comfort zone.
Gorgeous, funny men don't happen to Charlie. Not like this. Even if it's ill-timed and too bloody complicated. But maybe a quick shag won't hurt . . .
Sex might be easy, but being vulnerable isn't. Not for Charlie, his anxiety, or his precarious stack of responsibilities. It would be so easy to fall into Ben's world of cozy, snowy London where there's love and sex and possibilities. But Charlie already knows what happens when he goes off course. Not to mention the consequences. And when the snow melts, he'll have to put his heart back into a deep freeze . . .
Contains mature themes.

Ned’s exhausted from his divorce, single parenting, and graduate school, so when his boss comes up with a plan to 'improve' work-life balance, Ned wants no part of it. But Dr. Charles Henry Abbot, PhD has other ideas. Once Ned’s least favorite professor and now his infuriating colleague, Ned needs Abbot’s help editing his dissertation. With their newly limited work schedules, Abbot suggests the worst idea Ned’s ever heard: pretend to date. Story
When fanfic writer Aaron Page landed a temp job with the creator of hit TV show, Leeches, it was only meant to last a week. Three years later, Aaron’s still there. It could be because he loves the creative challenge. It could be because he’s a huge Leeches fanboy. It’s definitely not because of Lewis Hunter, his extremely demanding, staggeringly rude...and breathtakingly gorgeous boss.

Cutthroat political consultant Thom Morgan is thriving, working on the governor of California’s presidential campaign. If only he didn’t have to deal with Clay Parker, the infuriatingly smug data analyst who gets under Thom’s skin like it’s his job. In the midst of one of their heated and very public arguments, a journalist snaps a photo, but the image makes it look like they’re kissing. As if that weren’t already worst-nightmare territory, the photo goes viral—and in a bid to secure the liberal vote, the governor asks them to lean into it. Hard.

Now that his dad's making a comeback, Luc's back in the public eye, and one compromising photo is enough to ruin everything. To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. He’s perfect boyfriend material.

There are plenty of words Jonah Collins could use to describe Dylan Ramírez. “Arrogant,” “spoiled,” and “golden boy” to name a few. Likewise, Dylan thinks he has Jonah accurately labeled as an attention-seeking asshat who never shuts his filthy mouth. Their friends are convinced Jonah’s and Dylan’s disdain for one another is just thinly veiled lust—a rumor that surges like wildfire when the two wake up in one bed after homecoming. Mutually horrified, Dylan and Jonah agree to use the faux pas to their advantage by fake dating.

Will is in Bristol for a brand-new start. He’s got his outrageous flatmate, Emma, his job at the bookshop and he’s totally infatuated with Gus. A French Bulldog. An actual relationship with an actual man seems about as real as the science fiction novels Will stacks on shelves all day long. And then into his life walks Ben. Ben is all the things Will isn’t: confident, charming (bordering on cocky), popular, a Jiu Jitsu champion, and generally deflecting life’s problems as easily as dodging a clumsy throw on the mat.

When my best friend asked me to serve as her Man of Honor, of course I said yes. A trip to Vegas for the week before her wedding and then on to the Florida Keys for the nuptials was an added bonus. The icing on the cake was her brother, Colt. I didn't expect anything to happen. He's almost 10 years older, aloof, mysterious, and devastatingly handsome. All the time I spent fantasizing about his powerful muscles, piercing eyes, hungry mouth, and grasping hands leave me tongue-tied and stammering every time I see him.

Absolutely love this author’s works, and the narration is perfect!
The way the narrator voices the different accents is fabulous. I could listen to this him narrate this author’s works all day.

Cute and steamy romance with the wrong narrator
The story is cute and perfect for the romance genre. Is a novel of basically if they would just communicated, there would be no story to tell. Fluffy, swoony, and steamy.
HORRIBLE AUDIO. The reader has a fine voice and does a decent Scottish accent. However, the reader's voice is much older than the 21/25 year old main characters. Also, I have listened to over 200 audiobooks and generally, the reader has a slightly different voice for the actual dialogue and inner musing/narrator parts of the story. It was incredibly difficult to tell when actual dialogue was being spoken and when it was internal dialogue.

Good follow up
This was an enjoyable second book of the series. It was too repetitive throughout the entirety. One main thing I did like was the inclusion of kink without making a big deal out of it, as well as having a kid while still being queer.

Cute but hard to follow at times
This was a cute story, but the narration was hard to follow and the dialogue was a bit monotone and sentences clipped. At times I wasn’t sure which character was speaking despite the narrator trying to use Scottish and English accents.

I loved the ending. . . .
The narrator did well with the different accents and mix of male and female voices required for the narration. I liked the storyline and the happy ending.

Loved narrator’s accent and quirky Ben.
2.75 rounded up to 3 ⭐️ I had to listen till the very end to make sure I’m right. Narrator was good, I enjoyed his British accent and it was the only thing that made me continue, I guess 😅🙈
It’s not quite boring but.. I was tired of back and forth between MCs. I understand and can relate with Charlie’s anxiety disorder, though, so his way of thinking and impulsiveness is justified for me. Yes, it’s hard sometimes.
I just wanted maybe more.. anything really! Not just his anxiety and insecurities 😐 Music, relationship development, his kid, some more concrete situation with his parents (can’t figure out if he understood that he deserves better and decided to spend less time with them, at least). Just too many topics that didn’t feel finished 🤷🏻♀️
