Publisher's summary

Imagine The Fugitive meets Gone Girl.

It happens more than you might think.

One second someone’s life is totally typical, the next it’s terribly tragic.

Everything they had, everything they planned, everything they were, all of it vanishes in a flash.

Shock and sorrow leave the victim staring into tomorrow’s void, wondering: How did it happen? Who did it? And why?

What would you do if you woke to find that someone had framed you for a horrible crime and the police were at your door? What if the evidence was so compelling that even you had doubts? Would you collapse? Surrender? Question your sanity? Or would you do whatever it takes to save your family?

An intriguing story

This was a really good book. Especially knowing it was based on actual events. Actually, the book started a bit slow - maybe the first hour or two, I kind of wasn't into it. But I think once the detectives start to get involved, it becomes interesting. Lots of intensity in this book with some twists that leave you thinking, "Oh come on! Give the guy a break." It was well narrated and the storyline was clear and engaging. If you listen to this book, make sure you listen to the authors note at the end.

Great to see Tim back

I've enjoyed all of Tim's books and am happy to see this story. It delivers on the title. It is a story about someone who experiences bad luck and tragedy. And has to dig himself out of it. I like the character development, the length of chapters, and definitely, Jay's narration.

This one's bound to become a movie!

When I read the book description comparing Twisted Lives to The Fugitive, Gone Girl, and Presumed Innocent, I was skeptical. But then, Wow! Twisted Lives does deliver the action of The Fugitive, the psychological tension of Gone Girl, and the legal suspense of Presumed Innocent.

The publisher even forgot one comparison: Twisted Lives also delivers a surprising final twist like The Sixth Sense.

I got sucked into the action, mystery, and suspense from the first chapter. I found myself rooting for a father in an impossible situation, despite sensing that all was not as it seems. Before this completely unpredictable story was over, I’d been to China and Russian and inside numerous fascinating situations and circumstances. Plus I learned a lot about covert and criminal activities shaping the world today.

The narrator was fantastic! He's got a husky voice that fits the Federal Air Marshal main character well. He also did a great job with the accents and sassy detectives. I'll be looking for more books narrated by Jay Snyder.

I’ve enjoyed all of Tim Tigner’s books, but this was my favorite. I see why it took him years to write. It was worth the wait. I predict Twisted Lives will become the movie to which future books compare themselves.

Moral Compass

Wasn't really sure about the book but of course I love the author so I went for it. Jackpot! This story was engaging and I had to know what was next. This story was full of action and I cannot imagine the things that went on in Felix's mind while balancing life, love, and the future.

Riveting

Fast-paced and extremely compelling listen. Woukd also like to express sympathy for the author, as regards the note at the end of the book, and my admiration of his determination and strength. Amazing story.

Maybe Tigner’s best work yet. Just when you think it is resolved, another twist! Amazing story.

Outstanding Close Your Eyes And Just Order!

I've read every single one of Tim tigner's books and over the last 3 years have googled him occasionally wanting to know why he hasn't written another novel. this novel answers all and I can't wait to send away for his follow-up explanation. He's one of my favorite authors. if you've never read a tigner book, I would start with the Kyle Achilles series which was his first book. I've turned him on to a bunch of my friends as well and everyone loves the books.
