Not sure what to do now

I love this series so much. Probably the quickest I have poured through a series in my life. I regret that a bit now. Mr. Fry’s voice is so soothing and engaging it was just very hard to stop. I wish he would now tell the story of Odysseus. Hint. Hint. ;)

Simply Amazing

Simply Amazing. I could likely listen to Stephen Fry read a dictionary and be satisfied. Listening to him retell the Greek myths that I have heard, seen, and read all of my life is simply amazing. Once again Stephen Fry brings his own humor in both the writing and the narration of this work. If you enjoyed either of the first two books in this series, then this is a worthy choice.

Enjoyed Stephen Fry in general. Biased rating

#1 'Troy' was quite enjoyable, and hearing it allowed me to revisit my high school brain, as that was really the last time I "studied" Greek/Latin -- in quotes for a reason.

If I am able to listen to the tale and be emotionally moved enough (in this case, to travel back in time), then it is a reflection of how good the narrator was. I have had to return audiobooks even though it is a great read but too painful to hear.

#2 Biased rating because... I also enjoyed his first two books.
While waiting for this book to come out, I keep my impatient self happy by downloading all things "stephen fry."
I even swallowed my disdain** for Winnie the Pooh and found myself loving the story and the Bear (I can't, no, no I CAN believe I cried at the end).

**BC Disney's Winnie was annoying.

Happy listening!

Stunning!

The third book in the Mythos trilogy, Stephen Fry's Troy continues the standard of delightful, relatable, and entertaining storytelling of the first two installments. Fry's narration is, as always, superb. My sincere thanks to him for bringing this epic tale to life once again.

Great telling of the greatest story

As a huge consumer of everything Trojan War, I was really happy with how this story was told. The narration was well done and the story itself was well researched. The Trojan War is one of the most told stories of all time — and with this, it still doesn’t feel old! Enjoyed throughout.

A good continuation in a great series

Stephen Fry is good in anything he does. This series on Greek mythology is good for someone new to the myths and someone who's studied them. Fry makes it easy to follow and stay on the same page. I've read all 3 in this series and recommend all of them including this third.

Such a convoluted, contradictory story

Despite the Iliad being a (or the) seminal work of Western literature, I found the whole story really ridiculous. Fry did a decent job with the nonsense he had to work with, but the story was so riddled with inconsistencies that it seemed incoherent and most of the characters unlikeable.
