Story has potential. Narration needs work...

The story itself has potential. There was a few different times that could have been really funny if it was told with a bit of emotion. I couldn't get through the whole book. The audio quality is bad. There is a lot of static in it like it was recorded on tape. The narration was dull. All characters sound the same. There is no emotion in his voice. It makes it impossible for me to get into the story. There are so many amazing performing narrators out there. To have some read a story like this is a waste.

enjoyable

Fun story and narration!

After an unforeseen accident and some deliberate sabotage, Marco finds himself stuck in Myriad Online. Not only that, but his psyche was meshed with that of a panda! What else could possibly go wrong!?!

Jason does an excellent job with the narration!

I enjoyed the story and can't wait to find out what happens next!

Loved It!!!

The only thing that bugs me about this is that it is over! I want to know more. It was enjoyable and a great listen. Lots of twists that i didn't see coming.

A good story

Always enjoy the concept of someone being digitized, kinda off like that idea and this story did not disappoint. I look forward to the next.

Better than I expected

I bought this book on a whim, not even reading the synopsis or any of the reviews. I just wanted something fun and light to pass the time. It turned out to be a clever story. I was happy with the ending.

great book but feels short

the story ends open ended a bit to much. storyline was really interesting and brings some realistic sounding future issues. audio was well done voices worked with story telling.

interesting story poor execution

The story is interesting however the narrator is so monotone it ruins the story.

The main character has poor luck clearly but makes it work out though doesn't see certain red flags making him kinda of a dipshit. Though clearly has plenty of attitude along with other characters. However the narrator is no different then Ben Stine in the visine commercials. sure he alters his voice for some characters but you can't tell half the time. You really have to focus to keep track. like if your doing shunting tedious while listening you can focus but one distraction you have to use your best guess as to what happened as the narrator drones on.

yup me the story is interesting, but the narrator kills it.

It took a half hour for my eye to start twitching

It's a different take on the genre, and there may be a good story under the bizarre use of language.
BUT, it wasn't engaging enough to get past the ambiguous, Frankenstein monster sentences used.

Interesting concept ruined by terrible writing

I love the litrpg genre despite the vast range of quality stories out there, but this book? This was the worst I've listened to/read yet. The writing is overly simplistic, completely negates actions in one chapter with what happens in the next, and super rushes every single event especially the ending.

Spoiler Alert (if you care)....
.....
.....
.....
Our fearless hero (who's actually filled with fear and runs away a lot) starts off losing his gf because he's framed for stealing. Before the trial he's told he'll need to be a gold farmer in a VR game to work off his debt. The judge realizes he's frame and the court pays him a big check not to hold the government liable.....But he lost his job and can't get a new one. So he decides to be a gold farmer in a VR game!? Honestly I should have just stopped listening there because the story just gets lamer from there.
