About this listen

Ambrosia: When I went to the penthouse, I was expecting a playboy. I wasn’t even surprised when the playboy in question answered the door stark naked. The gun surprised me, but, I just roll with it because it’s a job. Given my present circumstances, work is hard to come by. My crazy ex, Tyler, got put in prison, and his equally crazy father, Richmond, decided it was my fault. He’s managed to get me fired from every job and kicked out of every apartment I’ve landed since. What I need is a hero. Unfortunately, those are in short supply. Until I catch the attention of a crazy, naked man wielding a gun. Sensing a theme here?

Torpedo: After more than a month on the roof of the world, I’m ready for some sunshine. The last thing I need or expect is another woman vying for my attention. The cute little thing who has the job of being my personal butler while I’m on vacation changes all that. She’s professional and courteous, never coming onto me like most women do. Lord knows I gave her reason to, answering the door naked as the day I was born. She runs fast enough when I inform her I was in the middle of a self-pleasuring session, though. Can you see my smirk? Unfortunately, she doesn’t need a naked man in her life. She needs a hero. One to slay her demons. Fortunately for her, that man is me.

Much like others by this author...

In typical Karland fashion, the heroine is getting the ‘short end of the stick’ from life in general and could use some rescuing and the hero is inexplicably drawn to her, as if a tale of ‘fated mates’, but it’s contemporary, so those don’t exist.

The characters are likable and the world and predicament she’s in is fun, so it works, IMO.
Could’ve done with less of the overused ‘you’re going to get sick of me’ / ‘not I’m not’ around and around thing. This is overdone in all of Karland’s series, seeming to crop up between at least one couple in each club.

V!rgin heroine.
Workplace meetcute.
MC life.
Collab with other MCs in this author’s world.
Edging.

Overall:
Love Rose and how all 3 clubs worked together in this one. Another fun installment!

4 stars.

Audio:
The narrator did a great job - performing rather than sounding like a bot, and using different voices for different characters. Excellent. Overall sound quality was perfect. 5 stars.

Excellent

Narration Review- I really enjoy books narrated by Umi. She is clear and easy to understand. Her voice is pleasant. She does the voices so well that I forget that she has a feminine voice while she is doing the male character voices.
Story review- I enjoyed the love story between Ambrosia and Torpedo. Seriously, how cool is the name “Ambrosia”? Their attraction was instant and translated into very hot and spicy erotic scenes. I liked the side characters and loved to hate the bad guys and gal. This story has everything I want in an audiobook romance.
I received an advance review copy of this audiobook for free and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Series gets better and better!!!!!!!!!!!

Rose and Torpedo are the perfect couple. I love that the trope of age-gap, mc and military romances.

I love Umi Markkanen as the narrator of the series. Her voice with emotions, intonations and gruffness is perfect for the characters.

I am soooooooo loving this series and looking forward to more!!!!

Good continuation

This was on the sweeter side for the series not a whole lot of action, some new character introductions and good narration making it a quick and entertaining listen.

Torpedo!

This is book 7 in the Bones MC Series. This is a series of interconnected stories. Torpedo and Ambrosia's story is well written, sweet, passionate, and entertaining, filled with drama and suspense. Umi Markkanen did an outstanding job bringing the story to life. Looking forward to listening to Data, the next book in the series. #StoryOrigin

Better One of the Series

This is Book 7 of the Bones MC series. It features Torpedo (MMC) & Ambrosia (FMC). Torpedo & Rose meet while he is enjoying some much needed time off at the hotel/resort that she works. When Rose fins herself in some trouble from her past, Torpedo decides to help her whether she wants it or not... And there begins the love story. It has just enough spice but I would have liked it to have been a tad longer in length. The narration started off a little annoying at first but it grew on me, I've listed to her narrate other books on this series. Overall, one of the better books in the series I've been exposed to. This book was provided for an honest review but the opinion is entirely my own.

another one

All the audiobooks in this series does not disappoint. Everyone teaches a life lesson, has vava voom sex scenes and badass bikers. This poor lady has to deal with an ex father in-law that blames her for being a serial killer and rapist.

After Play

I love Gavin "Torpedo" Ferguson and Ambrosia 'Rose" Kitaki's (sp?) story. From their... unconventional meeting to him nominating himself as her protector to how they take each other and more.

There are some scary, sad, and awful bits - this last one mostly happens offscreen. There are also some absolutely HILARIOUS parts that had me laughing aloud. I seriously didn't expect it to be so humorous, like when he's thinking about 'after play' or whatever it's called (hint: aftercare). 🤣

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Umi Markkanen. As much as I'd really like her to have a counterpart every now and then, she does a great job all the way around.

Gavin and Rose

Story of Gavin and Rose. I enjoyed the series. This book is good, but I liked some of the others better. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but I think as part of the series is better. There is an age gap, but it is not the main focus of the story. Both Gavin and Rose have had some rough history, but use it to be better people, rather than an excuse for poor behavior, they show some very admirable qualities. Gavin clearly respects Rose, and supports her independence. Rose can stand on her own, but accepts the love and support Gavin offers. Narration was well done.
