About this listen

Welcome to the Yellow Feather Ranch! I am so glad you could find your way here!

Set against the backdrop of the idyllic countryside of Dixon, England, "The Yellow Feather Ranch" invites you on a journey back to the summer of nineteen-sixty-nine. Mary Reilly, a sixty-one-year-old inheritor of a rundown farm turned holiday horse ranch, is determined to breathe new life into her family's legacy.

With the help of her spirited children and grandchildren, Mary embarks on a daring venture to transform the Yellow Feather into a thriving destination.

But as the Grand Opening approaches, Mary grapples with doubts and fears of failure. With the fate of her beloved property hanging in the balance, she places her trust in her family and the divine, hoping for success against the odds.

At the heart of the ranch lies O'shays, an Irish pub run by Mary's son-in-law Jack, and his wife Rosie. The colorful addition of Georgie, an unpredictable Australian cockatoo, adds a touch of whimsy and surprise to the lively establishment.

As guests from all walks of life arrive at the ranch, Mary and her family navigate unexpected challenges and forge bonds that will shape their future. From dramatic encounters to heartwarming moments, the Yellow Feather becomes a stage for unforgettable stories of resilience, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams.

However, when two mysterious strangers in Western attire arrive at the ranch, Mary's curiosity is piqued. Who are they, and what brings them to her property? As secrets unravel and adventures unfold, the Bentley family finds themselves embarking on a wild ride filled with twists and turns.

Join Mary and her family as they saddle up for the ride of a lifetime, where courage, determination, and a sprinkle of magic pave the way toward a brighter tomorrow.

"The Yellow Feather Ranch" is a heartwarming tale of hope, heritage, and the transformative power of chasing one's dreams.

Wonderful Continuation of the Series

First and foremost this storyline was great! Even though I have enjoyed all the books in this series thus far, this is one of my favorites behind the first two books of the series. This one shows Mary's dream come true in establishing of the The Yellow Feather Ranch and the growth of it over a 9 year period (through the 1970's). We see several new marriages, babies being born and a death. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. The virtual voice narration was decent.
