"FATE magazine is fascinating." -Steven King

The world is not what we think it is.

The individuals whose experiences you are about to hear know that only too well, since nothing in their lives had prepared them for their encounters with things that are not supposed to happen - but did! Events like these remain hidden because those they happen to are afraid to speak out of a natural reluctance to have their sincerity or sanity questioned. Societies define their own realities and those who challenge them do so at their own peril. The moral seems to be that where these kinds of events are concerned, ignorance is the best policy.

Ignorance, of course, will not stop people from having strange, inexplicable experiences. Mysterious stuff will continue to fall out of the sky. People will continue to have bizarre UFO encounters. Little men, monsters, talking mongooses and invisible presences won't stop their determined trespassing into our reality.

While most of the world turns a deaf ear to these dimensions of experience, FATE has been listening. And a great number of people have shared their stories with FATE.

You are about to hear the strangest of them, the reports that represent the greatest challenge to science, reason, and understanding. What you will find here, in The World's Strangest True Stories, is nothing less than a full, unobstructed view of these other realities, tantalizing glimpses of things that don't belong here, of worlds not our own....

thesaurus definitely held interesting phenomena

this collection of stories was definitely interesting. The narrator did an excellent job of reading the article. Some of the articles I found incredulous. Some definitely grabbed my attention and left me wondering, and some even instilled a tiny bit of fear with their elements of the unknown

Great story but...

The narrator, omg! It sounded like my kid....when he was in 5th grade! I cannot believe they allowed this kid to narrate this book. I enjoyed the stories but had to keep rewinding because I could never tell if a new story had started!!! Yikes!!!

Some great stuff, just slightly hampered by narration

Man, oh, man, when I first saw this book I got super hyped. This is exactly my kind of storytelling. I love true tales, strange, tales, weird stories, and anything that is outside of the lines of normal.

In other words, I am a paranormal junkie. I have had paranormal experiences of my own that cannot be explained, and so I love listening to other peoples tales and trying to discern whether they’re believable or not.

This book has stories that border on. This Hass to be a totally insane, duration, or dictation of a tail and others are so grounded you have to believe exactly what has happened in spite of the absurdity of it all, so on that basis, I absolutely loved the stories even though some of them may have been a little bit older than what you’re looking for. I like stories from the past because not everything Hass to happen today to be interesting.

My issue came from the narration. It’s very rushed. It is not well recorded and you can’t really see transitions from one story to another. There’s very little break or stoppage or even saying in the next Warriors or this or that there’s nothing to try to do that I just kind of rules from one thing to another and I didn’t enjoy that as much it does detract from the story.

Very interesting tales

The various tales were intriguing and kept us entertained on our journey from Salem/Eugene OR to Stockton CA.

Changes in tone or inflection in the narrator's voice would be a good improvement.

Strangest? True? Maybe Some

Born in Roswell, moving to an area near Kecksburg, and having worked alongside pilots most of my life, it takes a lot to wig me out. Didn’t find it here but you might.

The supernatural and ghost stories were be fun listening to around a campfire after a few beers.

Narrator was okay.

Narration plays a big role

The stories were very interesting and well written although a professional narrator would have really helped this book. Young person narrating and mis pronouncing words all over the in the book.

The truth behind it

Most of these accounts can be attributed to Demons and the games they play with human souls.
