About this listen

Mike Malloy’s hedge fund is more than just a money machine - it’s a weapon of insight, capable of forecasting global events with chilling accuracy.

When Mike’s proprietary software predicts an inevitable conflict between the United States and China, he faces an impossible choice: exploit the knowledge to secure unimaginable wealth, or risk everything to avert a nuclear war.

As financial markets teeter on the brink and global tensions escalate, Mike finds himself at the crossroads of ethics and ambition. With his closest allies questioning his every move and powerful enemies circling, he must decide - will he become the savior of humanity or the architect of its destruction?

In The Win Machine, Ryan McBeth delivers a gripping techno-thriller that explores the terrifying power of technology, the dangers of unchecked ambition, and the razor-thin line between profit and catastrophe. As the countdown to global annihilation ticks away, the ultimate question emerges: How far would you go to win?

Excellent literature, great analysis

Military novels, especially science fiction ones, are usually divided to the unbelievable and the unreadable. Ryan McBeth's Win Machine, however, is neither.
this book is written with humor, sensitivity and true knowledge of military startegy, technology and life as well as of the tech industry. it is also exceptionally human in its outlook and tone- Mike, Kovel, Mohammad, Tina, even the Chinese generals feel like genuine, sympathetic human beings

i would highly reccomend the book to others.

I was excited.

Then, as I started listening i didnt quite understand. Perhaps I was expecting something different, more realism and knowledge from the author. Instead of real world based type of fiction we stepped into alternate dimensions with hedge
fund managers with a magic 8 ball computer. I'm glad I could support the author because I believe in his assessments. Fiction of this level just wasn't expected.

feels like its half of a story

the concept is cool but the quantum stuff gets weird fast and doesn't allow enough time with any characters.
