Acerca de esta escucha

"Stephen King never stops giving us his all" (Chicago Tribune) in this number-one national best seller about the idyllic small town of Haven, Maine, and its encounter with a deadly evil out for a diabolical invasion of body, soul - and mind.

Writer Bobbi Anderson becomes obsessed with digging up something she's found buried in the woods near her home. With the help of her friend, Jim Gardener, she uncovers an alien spaceship. Though exposure to the Tommyknockers, who piloted the alien ship, has harmful effects on residents' health, the people of Haven develop a talent for creating innovative devices under their increasingly malignant influence.

In this riveting, nightmarish story, Stephen King has given us a "brilliant, riveting, marvelous" (The Boston Globe) novel. "You will not be able to put this down" (Los Angeles Times Book Review). And the next time someone raps at your door, you may want to keep the chain on. It just might be the Tommyknocker Man.

The narrator does a great job with this Stephen King signature. Tommyknockers knocking on your door... I love how King fills the space between the book covers with a story about 1 person and the situations they face. There are very few characters you get to know but don't care, it's all about the one, unlike any other. Edward Herrmann, I hope you sought some psychiatric help after embodying Gard for this book. Great all around, excellent to listen to.

spooky and enthralling

I listened to The Tommyknockers during a time when a lot was going on in my life that I had no control over. The story was embedded with King’s wit and humor, told with voice and inflection that brought home an entertaining tale, hitting the spot and quenching my need to escape.

This is a tale for when your in the mood to lose yourself.

The Tommyknockers is likely King’s most underrated work. It’s a bizarre and often gruesome take on “the little green men” that I have thoroughly enjoyed over the years. Herrmann’s narration is enjoyable. Perhaps one of my favorite narrators since joining Audible last fall.

King and Herrmann are masterful

I always enjoy King's words, I enjoyed the narrator and he allowed me to visualize tge story as I imagined it. it was long, so I listened at 1.3 speed.

A great listen.

I have recently taken to re-reading some old favorites and The Tommyknockers is still as great as it was upon the first printing. Anyone who reads Stephen King knows this to be true.

But the narration! OMG, this guy was so good. I'd never heard of Edward Herrmann before, and now I'm glad I did. His reading is so good I think I could listen to him read a mediocre book and come out loving it. Great job!

Awesome Narration for a Best Selling Re-read

Fantastic novel by the amazing Sai Stephen King! Great story! Gard is an amazing character! I loved the progression of the story and the ending made me feel good! The narration was superb by the late and great Edward Hermann. I'm not sure why this book gets hated on, but I loved it!

What a rush!

the story jumps around significantly. Listen to this book while driving is not an easy feat. Paying attention to all of these new characters, and keeping track of all of the individuals backstories is rather difficult. It might be a little better in regular book format.

it's a bit rambling.
