About this listen

With his abilities under scrutiny from others in the company, the protagonist is put in a precarious position. Before he can decide on a course of action, his mage company heads out on an exploration assignment to find the location of a lost dungeon, The Shimmering Labyrinth. It will become the most difficult part of the protagonists journey so far as enemies close in.

love this series very much, however there is a new narrator and it was a bit off putting

Love the series but new narrator?

This is a pretty good story, I just personally don’t like the MC. I dislike his general temperament, decision making, or his sense of humor.
The voice acting is ok… feels like a few voices are reaches and not quite fully formed

Interesting… I enjoy the story. Don’t like the MC at all

takes quite a bit of chapters to get used to the new voice. I really liked the original Skyrim voice.
other than that it was such and amazing story, so immersive and realistic. Loved it. Definitely one of my new top litRPG titles.

disappointing voice actor change

Love the story and binged all 3 audiobooks currently available in under a week. Been on an Iseki/LitRPG kick for a few years and this series is S tier for me. Only complaint is changing narrators between books 2 and 3. Threw me for a loop and took some time to get used to new narrator's voices for MCs. Still a 10/10 reccomend from me. Eagerly awaiting book 4!

Great Series - Think HBO's Rome with LitRPG Elements

This book was good until about six hours left when the blind stupidity took hold. If the characters are going this route in book 4 it will be a sad day.

Getting Worse

I hate it when you get used to a great narrator and they change in the middle of the series, with that said, it is great narration, great story, and overall great series.i really hope more people enjoy these books. Always RollsAOne deserves some serious readership! The Character Development is on par with King Killer Chronicles and Wheel of Time, but honestly these books are far more entertaining that WofTime.

excellent world building

I listened to this book on Audible twice this year. I didn't really mean to, but i had listened to a series of bad books on Audible and i needed something pleasant to pass the time, so I gave this book a second listen, knowing that i wouldn't be disappointed, and since the next installment is due out in a couple of months. The first time around I gave it 4/5 stars, but because I was able to listen to it twice in a couple of months, I bumped it up to 5/5. I also re-appreciated how good the narrator was on the Audible the second time around. I almost NEVER give 5/5 stars, but Nikola does such an amazing job with the varied voices, that I don't know how anyone could've done better.

Below is my first review:

This installment follows Eryk and company into a ghost town (i.e. a town full of specters), with a very powerful mage hot on their heals, bringing an impassable blizzard with him. Down into a dungeon the team goes, where Eryk and his big friend Maeve get separated from the rest, and they must survive using Eryk's secret powers to kill the alpha monsters lurking in each dungeon room. It's a lot of fun, and the friendship between Eryk and Goliath evolves and satisfies the reader. We also get more on the elf rider who seems to continually underestimate Eryk. All in all, if you liked the first two books, you'll be very happy with this installment. I anxiously await the next book on Audible.

Such A Pleasant Read/Listen

Have enjoyed this series so far, appreciate that most of the story follows the main character.

Great story. The new narrator did a good job with the narration.

I recommend listening at 1.2x, but I have seen that trend with a lot of new books I have bought on audible in the last ~3 months.
