Story
With just one touch, bread turns into roses. With just one bite, cheese turns into lilies. There’s a famine plaguing the land, and Princess Yzabel is wasting food simply by trying to eat. Before she can even swallow, her magic - her curse - has turned her meal into a bouquet. She’s on the verge of starving, which only reminds her that the people of Portugal have been enduring the same pain for years. If only it were possible to reverse her magic. Fatyan, a beautiful Enchanted Moura, is the only one who can help. But she is trapped by magical binds.

Story
Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned. As a huntsman of the Church, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. But when Lou pulls a wicked stunt, the two are forced into an impossible situation - marriage. Lou, unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, must make a choice. And love makes fools of us all.

Story
Most of the time the Moontide Bridge lies deep below the sea, but every 12 years the tides sink and the bridge is revealed, its gates open for trade. The Magi are hell-bent on ruling this new world, and for the last two Moontides they have led armies across the bridge on "crusades of conquest". Now, the third Moontide is almost here, and this time the people of the East are ready for a fight... but it is three seemingly ordinary people that will decide the fate of the world.

Story
It's a story you think you know: the age-old tale of "star-cross'd lovers"; two families at war; a romance, so pure and absolute, fated for a tragic end. It's a story so thoroughly embedded in our culture, and so frequently retold. Yet, nothing captures the spark, the possibility, and the surprise of Shakespeare's work quite like this....

Story
Just hours after humans are born, the gods take what little power we have. In return, they protect our borders from the vicious, merciless fae. The humans who manage to keep their power are known as the corrupt. And they are burned. When my forbidden power is discovered, I’m forced to flee my tiny village and the life I adore. To survive, I make a desperate bargain with the mercenary who abandoned me at my weakest moment. Our deal is simple: I’ll help him and his mysterious friends sneak into the city, and he’ll help me learn to wield the strange, dark power I’ve always kept hidden.

Good story
The plot of this book is full of suspenseful moments. The herione Aurelia has no trust in men. She travels to Italy and hooks up with a hunky Spaniard Bernardo. Overall, this book and it’s characters engaged me from beginning to end. Best of all, a sweet and promising HEA for Aurelia and Bernardo.

Extremely entertaining.
Soriano must be a beautiful place, but these were ugly, tragic times. Finding love near impossible for Bernardo and Aurelia. Their story, beautifully written here, is extremely entertaining! Action packed. Sexually frank. Downright scary brave. Heart pounding events. Highly recommend.
I listened to Audible version. Didn't care for this narrator. Her male and old lady voices sounded alike and were abrasive and irritating. They distracted from this incredible story.

Unexpectedly delightful
I wasn't sure what to expect from this one, but found myself delighted with our clever heroine. I wasn't so thrilled with the narrator. Sounded a bit too mouse-like in many places.

Tragic Love Story
Wow, this woman has been threw hell and back to find and keep her love.
I was drawn in right away and enjoyed the story.
Once or twice it seemed to skip ahead and it took me a minute to understand that other wise I would have given it 5*.
Standalone with no cliffhangers
