About this listen

The Radius: Book 1: Adapting to the Radius is a fast-paced post-apocalytpic sci-fi thriller fight for survival, with a time-travel twist.

Ben, Eileen, and Richard are three of close to nine million Americans trapped within the Blue Hole Radius, emerging into a world that is 1,410 years into the future.

Benjamin Reilly is an aircraft mechanic working at Ontario International Airport. Eileen Rivera is an emergency room nurse working at Loma Linda University Hospital. Richard Clark is an inmate, serving year three of his 20-year sentence in Chino Prison. Follow the stories of these three Americans as they deal with the aftermath of the black hole paradox, which created the Blue Hole Radius.

What would life be like if the rest of the world passed by for 1,410 years? What would the rest of the world look like? How would that affect those that were trapped within the Blue Hole Radius?

Will they be able to survive the Radius?

Excellent

The concept alone makes this five stars. A little rough in the beginning it morphs into something that you can’t put down.

The story of our circumstance

An incredible survivalist thriller which launches us into the future while giving us relatable substance to our current times. Addictive storyline that will grasp your senses. The audible version translated perfectly to the script and it was absolutely enjoyable... I. Want. More....

Potentially great story ruined by terrible narrato

I would like to have found out if this story was good, but could not continue to listen due to the narrator's terrible job. Maybe an editor could have salvaged it by omitting the giant pauses between...
Every.
Single.
Sentence.
Also, there were times when the narrator had to backtrack and re-read parts. I get it, you make mistakes, but a professional audiobook shouldn't keep these sections, they should be edited out. Otherwise, the story loses its flow and can be very jarring. To conclude, the story had a lot of potential, but I had to return due to the narration, which I couldn't get through once, let alone future listens.
