Samuel Hoenig answers questions for a living. And as a man with Asperger's syndrome, his unique personality helps him ferret out almost any answer there is. But his latest question is a rather odd one: who stole a preserved head from the Garden State Cryonics Institute?

Arriving at the scene of the crime accompanied by his new colleague, Ms. Washburn, Samuel finds that what started out as a theft has escalated to murder. With suspects and motives emerging at a rapid rate, one final question remains: can Samuel's powers of deduction uncover a killer in the face of overwhelming odds?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was an enjoyable audiobook largely due to the work of the narrator. The sad truth is I love to listen to audiobooks when I am cleaning or doing other less than interesting chores. Because I am essentially multitasking I want books that are well...simply entertaining. There are novels that I prefer to read rather than listen to. Mark Boyett's interpretation of this book was excellent and made this an enjoyable listen.

Would you recommend The Question of the Missing Head to your friends? Why or why not?

I am not sure I would have been as enthralled with the story if I read it. The characters were for the most part flat and predictable. However, as a story that helps to show life with Aspergers it is a worth read.

The narrator, Mark Boyett, made this novel work.

I enjoyed this protagonist’s point of view- a pleasant and interesting departure from the standard sleuth!

Fresh new point of view

listening I often thought of Data who struggled to understand human emotion, and Sheldon Cooper, brilliant but socially challenged.

a combination of Data and Sheldon

I have read all his books in two other series and truly enjoyed each one. I love the first book of this series and indeed to read them all.

Another good one

this is very well performed but the story itself leaves a lot to be desired. while it is fascinating to hear about a detective with aspergers the writing is a bit weak for my taste.

great performance lacking story

If you ever wanted to know what would happen to Christopher Boone(The curious incident of the dog in the night-time) if he grew up in america and became a detective(somewhat) then this book is for you. A very endearing character. looking forward to the next one. also, very well narrated.
