Fascinating and Tragic

I loved that some level of dignity and respect was able to be restored to those mistreated and misunderstood.

History

Who knew? Without bringing things to light, society may never have known the details of what happened behind the walls of Ireland's Asylums. In order for there to be change, we must know the history.
My heart breaks for Julia Leonard and her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Fantastic story, heartbreaking

My eyes were opened to the inhumanity survived in early Ireland. This is a story that needed to be told. Thank you. Niall.

Loved this investigative piece!

Grateful for the time these people have invested to bring these stories to light. Things don’t improve if we keep them hidden. Truth and transparency are not without pain but they are necessary to move forward in a positive direction

Excellent

The subject matter is dear to my heart and such a prevalent part of modern society. We often forget the history of mental illnesses and how they were perceived. This was a compelling and thought provoking story of what was, and still continues today. Well done!

Beautiful story..

This is a beautiful story of determination and commitment. It’s respect for our history and lost loved ones, admitting what happened. And discovering along the way people who really care.
