Good story, but not lore accurate

First of all, let me say that the story itself is good and the performance equally so. There is, however, a glaring problem to anyone familiar with the established world of Eberron in which this book takes place.

The author clearly didn't know a lot about the religions of Eberron. Despite that, he had a church of the Silver Flame play a major role in the story. Avoiding spoilers, here are a few examples:

He talks about the Sovereign Host as a single god when it is the name of a pantheon.

He states that there is a major temple to the Dark Six in Sharn's temple district when that religion is so ostrasized that there are no publicly advertised temples to it in the city.

He states that two halflings of House Jorasco were open worshippers of the Dark Six when the fact is that the house would try to suppress that fact if it were even true.

One of the main characters comments that "no monk of the Silver Flame would cut someone" when it is a church dedicated to monster hunting. By the established lore of the world, every member of the church is required to carry a silver dagger in case they encounter lycanthropes. They would absolutely cut someone. It's a well known fact in that world.

My point is, while the story is good, to anyone like me who knows and cares about the lore of Eberron, the author clearly should have done a lot more research into the religions of Eberron before he decided to make a church one of the major plot points in this book. -2 stars from the review for that fact alone.

Great setting, not so great story.

The protagonist was unsympathetic and shallow, the side characters 1D, but the city was good.
