Decent start to a fantasy series!

This was a decent start to a fantasy series. It needed some work, but it has potential and I am excited to get into the next book in the series.

Book 2 now plz

I need book 2, please 🧚🏻‍♀️🧜🏻‍♀️🔥

Let me just say it is 2pm and I finished this book. When did I start? Approximately 10am. J.J. Smeck has begun to build a beautiful world with enticing characters throughout. Evie wakes up on what was supposed to be a life turning moment, turning 21 and learning her elemental abilities. Instead, she wakes up alone, imprisoned, and confused. Her journey from there takes her through many trials and man, this woman has soooo many things thrown at her already and I love how she is handling them. This book held so many of my favorite things: fae, elemental magic, and a little bit of spice (with the promise for more) 🔥 Thank you so much JJ Smeck for introducing me to your world. I can’t wait to read more!

14 year olds creative writing project?

So, I have over 500 books in my library, some of which deserved a one star. However I've never taken the time to write a review tell now. This book was that bad. It was literally like listening to a 14 year olds creative writing project. Has to be self published. Absolutely no editing. Horrible grammar. For example in 12 consecutive sentences, the author uses the word lost 10 times. Almost once a sentence. The author just rambles facts off about the characters. Absolutely no use of word building. Maybe a 7th to 8th grade grasp of vocabulary. Has to be someone's passion project., so they can tell their friends they're published author.

To top it off the narration sounds like she was asked to read aloud in class. Certainly not a professional narrator. Leaves me wondering if the author talked her best friend into doing the audio?

By far the worst book I have ever listened to. Grateful that audible has a return policy.
