About this listen

To investigate the source of gossip about Cyclops, Willie does the unthinkable: She dons a dress. However, her plan goes awry when she’s kidnapped by a disgruntled magician with the power to detonate gunpowder at will. The magician forces India and Matt to race all over London in the hunt for her before the bombs go off.

Meanwhile, powerful members of the Collectors Club are trying to find out what new spell India has created with Fabian, and with India’s attention focused elsewhere, they might just succeed.

A change from past editions in several ways

Wearing dresses, kidnapping, attempted murder, bad mouthing, rumor mongering, and manipulating, mixed in with new spells, blossoming love, matches for power, and the steadfastness of India and Matt’s love for each other and their growing family. An interesting and entertaining installment in the series. I hope CJ Archer keeps writing more beyond the books that are already out (as of 2022), and Ms. Hussey keeps narrating, or the narrator of the first book. 👍

Outlandish but fun!

India, Matt and the growing gang take new leaps into magic and mayhem in this tale of ambition and betrayal. The characters confront villains both internal and external and I love how equally the main couple are matched. Fun read!

This is one of these stories you get hooked on

The only thing that’s starting to happen in this book is that for the time period the language being used I don’t think that it’s got a little story and it goes along

Help! My flying-carpet is out of control!

India, Mat and the gang are all here with a new explosive adventure along with a few new characters. In all his glory, Lord Farnsworth is a real delight. All of the Glass & Steel series books are truly binge worthy and great company on a rainy day as well as making laundry-day almost fun.

Error in the recording

Love the series it's a quick fun read. Only complaint is there was an error in the recording chapter 17 goes back to an earlier part of the book but chapter 18 lines back up.

Glass and Steele

Glass and Steele have turned into a wonderful storyline with an increasing number of substantial characters that work well together. I look forward to the 11th book of the series due out soon and then those that follow.
