About this listen

War with the Nation of Darkness is inevitable—or so the Theocracy’s leaders believe with every part of their beings. With such an obvious threat on their borders, there’s no time to waste on lesser concerns, so they decide to eliminate the elf king who has been a thorn in their sides for too long! Meanwhile, Ainz sets out for the elf country on what he’s decided to call a paid vacation. His real goal is to create an opportunity for Aura and Mare to make some friends their age—even as the Theocracy armies march on the capital! The twins know their wise ruler has his hopes pinned on them and won’t stop until they bring this forest under the control of Ainz Ooal Gown!

To short

I love hearing what Ains gets up to, but this book was way to short considering how little actually happened.

This was less violent, more Recon

I am always amused by the way Ainz wants to do one thing and something else happens. the second thing is how everyone thinks Ainz is a genius, but he's like "woah woah, its a prank bro".

This Volume is a little more lighthearted than previous (that was my thought iniatially). than the elf king showed up. OMG this guy.

Narrator

Definitely one of the best audiobooks I’ve heard great story would recommend it again. If you’re a fan of the anime, it really fills in a lot of holes.

Filler

Didn't like the fact that this book was split into two parts when really there just wasn't enough content for it.

A bit short

This was one of the shorter overlord titles. I can’t help but think that the story moved very slowly and had little to no action. Ligand isn’t known for his action but rather his deep storytelling and world building. Overall the story seemed kind of somber.

Pretty short Volume

This ones on the short side, even for a light novel. The story focuses heavily on momon this time as he frets over things, so little actually happens.

Why is this a two part

There isn’t enough happening or enough story to split into two parts. This feels like a cash grab.

Felt cheated , the story hardly progresses

Nothing really happens here , just one lousy chapter on the elf king ,( the tittle
Of the book ) lots of slow paced narration on uninteresting events

A low point in an otherwise perfect series.

It’s just half of a book where nothing happens. Ainz is on vacation, and there is a tiny bit of world building beyond the major human cities.
