Story
I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

not a fan of sound effects
fantastic storyline, best character development and clever idea. but the sound effects take me out a bit. If it's here to stay I'll just get used to it but would be nice to have a version without.
don't skip out on this only for that reason though. you'd be missing out

amazing story, Sound effects ruined it.
I love this book. The story is wonderful. That said, I could not listen to it through this audio book. I ended up just reading the physical novel because everytime I would get immersed into the story with the audio, the narrator would try to make the sound effects and it ripped me out of the immersion.

good story, I'm just spoiled
good story, just had trouble listening to the narrator hes not bad I've just been spoiled with voice actors with extremely large ranges that are able to make every character come to life and sound unique or whole productions with multiple narrators for main characters

sound effects
there are a lot of reviews about the sound effects. imo it not that they are bad it is just that there are a whole lot of them. could cut down on them by 50% at least. other than that the narrator is fine.

Highly Entertaining!!
I love this book! I'm gonna continue the legacy! The voices and sound effects were super entertaining! The Narrator really kept me drawn in! I'm definitely going through the whole series.

great story, unnecessary sounds
the book was amazing and the story is well written. The only issue I had with the book were the sound effect made by the narrator. unnecessary noises made it easy for me to want to stop listening. No need for someone to try to make the sound of a keyboard with their mouth.
I understand this narrator is new, and their voice acting is good for only doing 2 books at this time. all I can say to you is awesome work for starting out. good voice and great personality for the characters. the sound effects are the only issue. it peaks your microphone and feels like my ears will bleed when you make sword noises with your mouth.

Great Story, Good Narration, Awful Sounds Effects
This story is really great and really captivating. I couldn't stop listening to it once I started. The biggest issue is that the narrator is terrible at sound effects and it would be better if he just described what was happening instead of trying to make the noises. It is so off putting when he does a terrible sound effect it pulls you out of the story because it's so bad. Other than that his narration is pretty good.

Good story. narration is iffy
So I’m gonna start by saying that for 90% of the story the performance is great, but the narrator makes a lot of sound effects. Now I don’t know if these sounds were in the original novel, if so, those sounds do NOT transfer well to audiobook format. for example when a monster growls, instead of just saying that it growled, the narrator makes an admittedly impressive growling sound. And there are more than a few times where he sounded out things like a door creaking which was……..like a door creaking. Now I will say that the sound effects themselves were great and I am actually impressed that he could make those noises, but well they make it hard to listen too. but outside of that it’s a good listen.

Amazing book
I would have to say this is an amazing story. I enjoyed the read tone and voice. The only thing I had a issue with was the constant repeat of the stats and certain un needed sound effects. But live every moment of the book. I am hooked. Would like to see as an animation.

Ultimate Power Fantasy (but with heart)
Wanted to get ahead of the manga
… and ended LOVING up the tweaks and subtle glimpses that are more in depth and flesh out this awesome story. Excited to continue the series
