THE GOOD LUCK GIRLS

The country of Arketta calls them Good Luck Girls - they know their luck is anything but. Sold to a "welcome house" as children and branded with cursed markings. Trapped in a life they would never have chosen.

When Clementine accidentally murders a man, the girls risk a dangerous escape and harrowing journey to find freedom, justice, and revenge in a country that wants them to have none of those things. Pursued by Arketta's most vicious and powerful forces, both human and inhuman, their only hope lies in a bedtime story passed from one Good Luck Girl to another, a story that only the youngest or most desperate would ever believe.

It's going to take more than luck for them all to survive.

A Must Read

The Good Luck Girls is a fantastic exploration of the “Wild West” trope of novels filled with characters that never usually get a chance to see secondary parts, much less the roles of heroes. It is a lively read, wonderfully narrated by Jeanette Illidge. I will listen to it again and again.

Great audiobook

I really enjoyed this book. The story is really good and the narration is amazing. It’s like a western fantasy? There’s horses and mining towns but also magic and also slavery and sex trafficking, but there’s hope in the end. I was worried for the last 30 min of the book but it worked out and I am very happy with it overall.

Deserves a part 2

Great book with a wonderful journey. Exploration and development of sisterhood and family. A journey to save their lives takes them on twist and turns leading them to become heroes. Part two definitely is needed to see where the journey goes after they gain their freedom.

A Good Ride

The story had a good ride to it. I like the telling of the back story for each character. It helped you to understand their personalities which helped me to give Violet some grace. I'm ready to start the next book. 👍🏾

This Was Pretty Good!

I really enjoyed this story. The background drew me in from the start and didn't get too graphic with the violating details of the girls. I can't put my finger on what made it so interesting but I was so invested in what happened to each girl. I would have liked to know why the dead was so important....its mentioned the entire book. I'd be interested in another book by this author. The narrator did a fantastic job! IDK how I found it but glad that I did. Try it!

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time

I literally just brought a physical copy of this book because I loved the story so much. This story takes real issues and places it into a fantasy setting, but it’s also action packed with loveable characters and an amazing message. I think it’s one of the most unique fantasy settings I’ve ever read about. Can’t wait for the next book.
