About this listen
Sons Of Anarchy meets The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in this coming-of-age dystopian novel.
When the daughter of Greece's premier singer fails to sing as expected, she finds out about a biker group of women. But will she manage to find the elusive Orosa, the bikers' motovlogger, when all she has to go on are random street-sightings of criminal behavior, when her family is opposed to her following this path, and when her dad's employer wants to keep her as she was for marketing purposes?
Do you want to know what's next for the voiceless Aura? Do you wanna meet the Amazons? Then listen to this coming-of-age story set in a world of biker Amazons and celebrity singers, where fate is quite literal.

It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Story
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Story
When out-of-shape IT technician Roen wakes up and starts hearing voices in his head, he naturally assumes he’s losing it. He isn’t. As of last night, he has a passenger in his brain - an ancient alien life-form called Tao, whose race crash-landed on Earth before the first fish crawled out of the oceans. Over the millennia his people have trained human heroes to be great leaders, to advance our species at a rate far beyond what it would have achieved on its own. Split into two opposing factions - the peace-loving, but under-represented Prophus, and the savage, powerful Genjix - the aliens have been in a state of civil war for centuries.

Not terrible
The story seemed to be written by an adult who knew how social media works but bent the logistics to fit his story. The world was poorly built and characters seemed overly contrived. It was difficult to follow but what was understood actually wasn't a bad story.

Old Myths Told In A New Way
Incredibly fun adventure that uses familiar Greek mythology to connect you to a completely original cyberpunk world. George Saoulidis creates a fascinating world and makes you feel like you are a part of it. Then, when you feel comfortable, he throws in some twists to keep you on your toes. This story is fast pace and will satisfy fans of intense action adventure books.
John York's narration is solid. Easy to understand and he adds just enough emotion to keep you in immersed.

Pretty good for a YA story
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Although this is a YA story, it was really engaging and entertaining for me. I thought the author does a good job of riding the line between the age group target audience so that it could be enjoyed by all. I liked how the author involves the Greek pantheon. I thought it was a unique approach. I thought the narration was pretty good and helped bring the story to life.

Very Interesting
The story was interesting from the start. I do admit to being a little lost at the beginning of the book. However, once I got into it, I found it to be a different kind of adventure. I liked the characters. I was also intrigued by this different take on the fates.
Another thing I found interesting but not bad once I figured out what was happening was instead of the name of chapters we got playlists video numbers.
All and all not a bad listen.

Originality, Yay!
I'm going to describe my book choosing style for this one (and generally most of my book choices). I saw the words dystopia and coming-of-age (two things I can't resist) and based on that alone decided to request a review copy. I started listening without any other knowledge of the content. What follows is my voluntary review.
At first, I thought the book was going to be a fantasy a la Percy Jackson. That is not this story. While I wouldn't call it dystopian, I see where some people might think that. I thought it was more near-future sci-fi with tinges of fantasy and whispers of cyberpunk. It actually is a little hard to classify because of its originality.
That originality is what makes this book so good. You get Greek gods as corporate CEOs, a female warrior biker gang and futuristic computer tech all in one cohesive story. Another original touch I like is the short chapters titled like they're video clips. It's refreshing to see something so original.
I really like that the narrator is male. The book is packed almost entirely with female characters and choosing John York is a great decision. His performance is superb.
I recommend it.

Give it a chance
This started out really slow, and frankly a bit boring. The only reason I continued honestly was because some of the other books by Mr. Saoulidis started out that way and I really enjoyed them in the end.
This is the same type of thing. It sinks it's claws into you slowly, reeling you in a bit at a time until before you really realize what's going on you're completely invested in the characters, rooting for them and when the ending sneaks up on you it's like a loved one who's taken too soon. You don't want it to be over.
This is an interesting take on the CyberPunk genre with a lot of clever nods to Greek mythology. I can't wait for the next book.
I received a free copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Not bad
It took me a bit to get in to this. Many names sounded alike and some of the Greek characters aren’t familiar to me.
It was slow to start but got going fast after the initial beginning. I did really enjoy it.
While the narrator was great I think a female should have narrated a book about an all female gang.
I would continue with this books works if this turns in to a series.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook from the publisher/author but voluntarily give my honest review.

decent story with amazing narration
The story itself is nothing to write home about. But the narration really makes up for. John York does an amazing job with all of the characters
definitely unique story that could have done better..
