Enjoyable collection of facts

Did you know bees can get STD's? You will after this book. This was a good mix of different, fun facts. It's a good length, not too long, not too short. And the narration was wonderful.

Simple Fun

Hard to categorize this book besides just fun. It's just continuous free flowing randomish facts. Sort of like trivia without the question or guessing parts. This is the second book I've listened to from this author and I find his writing to be entertaining.

An Adventure in Trivia.

Where does The Fun Knowledge Encyclopedia Volume 2: The Crazy Stories Behind the World's Most Interesting Facts rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Better then Average.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fun Knowledge Encyclopedia Volume 2: The Crazy Stories Behind the World's Most Interesting Facts?

There are so many interesting elements in this book but I loved the concept that New Yorkers are more dangerous then Sharks. Funny I never thought that me a kid from Brooklyn
is dangerous.Anyway the book shows how life itself can be fun and quirky and filled with mystery.

What does Rob Maxwell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A bit more feeling for the unique material.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Another good addition to the Fun Knowledge collect

I feel I could mostly say the same thing in this review as I did to the first book, as it is a solid continuation. If you liked the first, you will like this.

The Fun Knowledge Encyclopedia is full of random facts and trivia, ranging from very interesting to some more hum drum (and what I found interesting you might not, and vice versa). But with something with some many little tidbits there will be something new and interesting for everyone.

The book is copyrighted in 2018, yet less than 3 months into 2018, there is already some outdated information in here. A quick section talks about Stephen Hawkings, saying he just keeps "going and going". Sadly he does not, and has not. He in lies the issue with these types of books - some information they contain will become incorrect over time. But barring that, this is interesting and enjoyable.

Each section is a couple of minutes long and could be made up of one bit of trivia, with some background, or lots of little facts. So that adds up to hundreds of facts and trivia in this book.

There is no real organisation with them. They are just randomly scattered. So finding a particular one, or even a particular topic, again would prove difficult.

It's not ground breaking. It may be difficult to ever reference, or provide any backing to when you re-quote the trivia, but it's interesting and entertaining for several hours of listening.

Narration by Rob Maxwell was good. Also 3.5 / 5. It was well paced, and it engaged with subject - for non fiction the narrator was solemn when needing to be and amusing when the book was. There 2 or 3 times where lines were repeated, due to retakes that weren't cleaned up post production, and there was some occasional background noise, thus bringing the overall narration score down.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
