About this listen

As changes loom at Bexford police station, Detective Sergeant Guy Poole seeks a distraction and finds it in the camaraderie of a village pub team.

But when one of his new friends is murdered, Poole quickly realizes that he and his new partner must learn to work together seamlessly, or risk letting the killer slip through their fingers.

“This final book of the series is one of the best. It’s packed with action and has so many characters that it’s a challenge to figure out who the murderer is. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and highly recommend it to everyone.”

Virtual Voice Reading is Aweful

This was a cozy mystery so I didn’t expect depth in the story plot so the story was OK. I was very disappointed by the virtual voice reading because you couldn’t distinguish characters like when there is a person doing the voices. I will not be listening to more virtual voice reading books from Audible.

Hard to identify individual characters

The virtual voice, dreadful! This took away from enjoying the story. I have enjoyed A. G. Barnett in the past, but I’ll never listen to v virtual voice again.
