Swearlot Holmes of 221b is for bastard Baker Street, London. Thrill to excerpts and illustrations from many of his most curious cases such as 'The Adventure Of The Sussex Swearwolf' and 'A Foul -Mouthed Cow In Belgravia'. In these dark, surreal and expletive-ridden examples, Swearlot proves not only is he a master of deduction, but a loquaciously lewd legend to boot. Each story is inspired by the original Strand magazine sketches.

Publisher's summary
Emily Watson lives in a quaint English manor house with her twin sister, confined to a 20-mile radius around the estate for reasons she has never known. When the mysterious Professor Moriarty comes to visit and her sister goes missing, she discovers she is the half-sister of Dr. John Watson.
Traveling to London to meet him, she finds that he is the biographer and flatmate of famed consulting detective Sherlock Holmes, in whom Professor Moriarty has expressed a sinister interest.
Soon after her arrival, Emily becomes embroiled in the kidnapping of a Russian diplomat, which could cause political havoc if the culprit is not quickly brought to justice. The case has ties to her past, and a curious thread throughout that threatens to topple the already precarious balance of Europe's empires.
This short novel is a revolutionary re-introduction to a universe that has been the object of fascination for over a hundred years, and promises a series full of diverse circumstances and many twists and turns before the final problem is addressed.

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Engaging story of Watson’s sister
Who knew that Dr Watson had sisters? Surely not Emily Watson, until Dr. Moriarty murders her stepfather and kidnaps her sister. Emily makes her way to 224 Baker St. and becomes integral in the case. This book slips right in to the ambience of the ACD canon, plus there are a lot of new characters to solve crimes! The narration was wonderful and brought the characters and story to life.

Watson has Sisters!
I loved this book and wish the next was available. It is written the point of a 16 year old girl, but she seems much more like Holmes than Watson. There is at least one cliff-hanger, so be warned. I thought this was very clever and hope there are more very soon! The narration by Jacqueline de Boer was great.

Wonderful
A wonderful story that seems to fit into gaps within the canon. Enjoyable and can’t wait for this line of thought continues on.
