Publisher's summary

Like every other citizen of the Federation of Sentient Planets, Lunzie Mespil believed that no harm would come to her, but when the planet pirates attack the space liner on which she is a passenger, she might have to suffer more than just inconvenience.

Not Again!

I felt so sorry for the MFC. She had the worst luck in everything. And from the way it ended she will keep having it. I will have to search and see if she ever gets a HEA. The narrator did a good job.

The true perils of Cold Sleep

I've always like this story, for it depiction of Cryogenics (Cold Sleep). And how you deal with 62 years passing you by.
This story was excellent when it came out.

The narration was also excellent.

Lunzie has the worst luck

This was a very non-technical sci-fi, so you won't get lost in the mumbo jumbo of space travel theory talk. The story is very good, with enough adventure to keep it exciting. Lunzie has bad luck when it comes to space accidents. She does her best to move on each time, but you can't help but feel bad for the things she misses in her life.

**PARENTS NOTE** There are adult situations described, several instances of violence with bloodshed and death, and there are a few curse words peppered throughout.

The narrator has a good storytelling voice, and can affect other voices for the various othet characters.

My only complaint is that the 3rd book in the Planet Pirate series is not available on Audible. Guess I'll have to enjoy it the old fashioned way by reading it myself.

I loved it from start to finish. The audio was great. I can't wait to read more.

Great series

I hope more of it gets to audible. Great complex characters. A bit of sci fi, but mostly stories about beings.

Not what I was expecting for book two. Completely new character and plot. Still love A. Mc.

Good story

Good story, wished I had finished the first book before I listened to this one.
The narrator did very well on the different characters. But when she was just narrating she seems choppy and it was distracting. When she was voicing the characters, it smoothed out. Overall good read.

So nice that this is now unabridged!

This series was always one of my favorite of all the McCaffery series. The narrator is very good.

Good

I like Sassinack better, but this was still entertaining. Good narration, interesting, well paced, fun.
