About this listen
THE 2022 EDITION OF THE COMPLETE APOCRYPHA® IS FINALLY HERE. FEATURING 76 COMPLETE AND UNABRIDGED ANCIENT JUDEO-CHRISTIAN WORKS ARRANGED AS 54 BOOKS, IT'S THE NEW, LITERAL, EASY-TO-READ, DEFINITIVE COLLECTION OF CHRISTIAN AND JEWISH APOCRYPHAL BOOKS, GREATLY EXPANDING ON THE 2018 #1 BESTSELLER. AND IT'S BEEN FRESHLY UPDATED AND REVISED.
All of the books from the 2018 edition, plus dozens more, all revised and retranslated into a clean, literal, and easy-to-digest translation, part of the LSV collection. This is the largest and most comprehensive collection of non-Gnostic apocryphal books ever produced, featuring 76 unabridged works arranged as 54 books.
Approximately 90% as much material as the standard 66 books of The Holy Bible.
Includes the Catholic and Orthodox Deuterocanon material, all three of the books of Enoch, Jasher, Jubilees, the Aramaic Book of Giants, the testaments, apocalypses, pseudepigrapha, New Testament-era works, the Apostolic Fathers, and more.
With The Complete Apocrypha you can discover what the world was like before Noah's Flood, who the Nephilim were, how Cain died, how Abraham was tutored in the knowledge of God by Noah's son Shem, what happened during the 400 “silent years,” how the Prophet Daniel slayed a dragon, and the answers to countless other mysteries.
This is the only modern translation of the complete collection of deuterocanonical books known popularly as “The Apocrypha,” but now further expanded from the 17 books in the 2018 edition to 54 (Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs, Seven Epistles of Ignatius, and additions to Psalms, Esther, and Daniel, when counted as individual works, bring the total number of books in this exhaustive collection to 76). The Literal Standard Version (LSV) is a modern translation that stays true to the original manuscripts. This handsome 7 x 10 edition features a matte finish with thick, high-quality, cream-colored pages. By popular demand the font has been increased to 9-point Times New Roman typeface for elegance and easy reading (the font size found in many study Bibles). The Complete 54-Book Apocrypha offers a staggering 90% as much material as the canonical 66 books of the Holy Bible.
The Complete 54-Book Apocrypha includes Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, 1–4 Baruch, 1–4 Maccabees, Apocryphal Esther, Apocryphal Psalms, Apocryphal Daniel (including Azariah, Susanna, and Bel and the Dragon), 1–2 Esdras, Prayer of Manasseh, Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs (12 works), Jubilees, 1–3 Enoch, Book of Giants (from the DSS), Jasher, Life of Adam and Eve, Book of Creation, Testament of Abraham, Testament of Isaac, Testament of Jacob, Ladder of Jacob, Joseph and Asenath, Testament of Job, Testament of Moses, Testament of Solomon, Psalms of Solomon, Lives of the Prophets, Words of Gad the Seer, Ascension of Isaiah, Revelation of Abraham, Revelation of Elijah, Revelation of Zephaniah, Apocryphon of Ezekiel, Epistle of Aristeas, Didache, Revelation of Peter, Epistle of Barnabas, 3 Corinthians, 1–2 Clement, Seven Epistles of Ignatius (seven works), Epistle of Polycarp to the Philippians, Martyrdom of Polycarp, Epistle of Mathetes to Diognetus, The Shepherd of Hermas, Odes of Peace, Apology of Aristides, and additional apocryphal fragments. This collection is published by Covenant Press, the publishing arm of the Covenant Christian Coalition.

The rarely heard inspirational stories of the Apocrypha brought to life in this unique audiobook. In Biblical terms, ‘Apocrypha’ is a much-misunderstood term - and the title belies the immense significance of the 14 books to which it refers, all of which were originally published in the 1611 King James Bible but removed in 1885. Most of those books have always been in the Roman Catholic, Greek and other Orthodox Bibles and therefore are accepted as true Scripture by the majority of Christians.

Story
In this new translation of the Gospel of Thomas, Leloup shows that the Jesus recorded by the "infinitely skeptical and infinitely believing" Thomas has much in common with gnostics of non-dualistic schools. Like them, Jesus preaches the coming of a new man, the genesis of the man of knowledge. In this gospel, Jesus describes a journey from limited to unlimited consciousness. The Jesus of Thomas invites us to drink deeply from the well of knowledge within, not so that we may become good Christians but so we may attain the self-knowledge that will make each of us, too, a Christ.

While the United States is considered the most technologically advanced nation in the world, spiritual regression abounds.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

The influence of Plato, his Dialogues and his ‘Academy', cast a long shadow. Around 35 Dialogues, almost all featuring Socrates as the principal figure, are generally ascribed to Plato and form one of the most important threads in Western philosophy. These four Dialogues may fall into the ‘Attributed Texts' category, but they are of sufficient interest to warrant study in our time and when set against the principal canon.

Story
Are demons real? Are they red creatures with goatees holding pitchforks and sitting on people's shoulders while whispering bad things? Did a third of the angels really rebel with Satan? Are demons and "principalities and powers" just terms for the same entities, or are they different members of the kingdom of darkness? Is the world a chaotic mess because of what happened in Eden, or is there more to the story of evil? In Demons, Michael Heiser debunks popular presuppositions about the very real powers of darkness.

There are giants among us, passing largely unnoticed, intent on carrying out a secret plan to enslave all humanity. They may not look like giants today, but their bloodlines extend all the way back to the Nephilim—the offspring of angels who mated with human women described in Genesis 6 when giants roamed the land. Gary Wayne, author of The Genesis 6 Conspiracy: How Secret Societies and the Descendants of Giants Plan to Enslave Humankind, details the role of modern-day Nephilim in Satan's plan to install the Antichrist at the End of Days.

Story
The Septuagint (or "LXX" ) is the Greek version of the Old Testament. It is a translation of the Hebrew Old Testament and certain Apocryphal books, which was written in the late third century BC by the order of Ptolemy II Philadelphus, the king of Ptolemaic Egypt (283 BC to 246 BC). Alexander the Great had spread Greek influence and language throughout "the known world" and the Jews of the area were losing their Jewish roots and tongue. This Greek translation was created for use by the Alexandrian Jews who were fluent in Koine Greek, but were no longer fluent in Hebrew.

The Apocrypha ("hidden things") are contemporaneous with the Old Testament, but were not officially accepted as part of the Bible when the Hebrew "canon" was set. They did, however, form part of the Greek Scriptures and came into English Bibles by that route. The writings of the Apocrypha run the whole gamut of literary genres: histories, romances, devotional works, proverbs, and sermons. Many complement parts of the Old Testament, and listeners will recognize some familiar Biblical characters in the narratives, such as Daniel and Esther.

Story
The rarely heard inspirational stories of the Apocrypha brought to life in this unique audiobook. In Biblical terms, ‘Apocrypha’ is a much-misunderstood term - and the title belies the immense significance of the 14 books to which it refers, all of which were originally published in the 1611 King James Bible but removed in 1885. Most of those books have always been in the Roman Catholic, Greek and other Orthodox Bibles and therefore are accepted as true Scripture by the majority of Christians.

Story
Among the first seven scrolls discovered in the caves of Qumran at the Dead Sea is a scroll given the name "The Book of Giants". It is thought to have been based on the Book of Enoch, a pseudepigraphical Jewish work from the third century BCE. The Book of Giants, like the Book of Enoch, concerns itself with the Nephilim, which are the offspring of fallen angels, who are called the Watchers. Two main versions of the text exist. The Dead Sea version is written in Aramaic.

Story
The Book of Enoch contains one of the oldest stories ever told by the human species on Planet Earth. It is an epic tale of lustful angels, man-eating giants, and portentous visions of the end times. It introduces us to the heavenly Watchers and their earthborn hybrid sons, the mighty Nephilim, unlocking the meaning behind some of the most perplexing passages in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
